Pole Protects Baggy, Bunny Attacks Pole….poor Pole. 1st Jun 2012, by AnimalCare
This morning, for the first time, I got to see Baggy defecating in the litter box and it’s all firm and nice, so that’s really good. I’m sure it’s been solid faeces earlier on as well because there has been no soft stool anywhere in the litter boxes or on the grass or floor, but I just had to see it for myself.
I suppose Baggy has fully recovered from her bout of diarrhoea but I’m not sure if she is slightly depressed. She’s been very quiet.
She’s not in...

Ninja's Visit To Dr. Goh 1st Jun 2012, by Second Chance
Ninja was rescued by Mr. Leong (one of our adopters) near his house in Rawang. He must have been a stray for sometime and judging by his unfriendly behaviour, he has not had a good time with humans out there. He was suffering from skin problem which made him lose almost all his fur at his head, ears, the lower part of his body and his legs. As he was very aggressive and growling, we had to bundle him up in a thick towel to visit Dr. Goh. Dr.Goh was not treating...

Deepest Appreciation To Our Vets 1st Jun 2012, by Second Chance
We would like to record our deep appreciation to our panel vets, who have supported us in many ways throughout the past two and half years. Without their help, Second Chance would not go far in our works. They not only let us enjoy very special rates, they also have given us numerous advise in dog care, fund control, shelter management etc not to mention the many donations in kinds we received from them. We especially appreciate their involvement...

Happy Poppy! 1st Jun 2012, by Second Chance
This picture of Maggie siting in a tray was taken in Mrs. Lai's house when she fostered her. Wasn't she cute and adorable? Who will know that a puppy from the streets, will soon change a woman's and her son's life? She was adopted when only 3 mth old, and now she is 7-8 mth old. At first Mrs. Lai thought she was blind as she always turned around in circles (sometimes more than 20 circles!). But luckily she is not, according to Ivan (adopter's son), she...

Talk About “anniversaries”…. 31st May 2012, by AnimalCare
A few readers sent me this, and I was waiting to share it today, on our 3rd anniversary!
The caption reads:
Everyday- at the same time – she waits for him…
He comes… and they go for a walk.
Wouldn’t it be great if we all had friends like this…no words needed…they just intuitively recognize the value of each other in their lives and act accordingly.
Yes, life doesn’t have to be complicated. Only humans make it so.
Learn from the animals?
This little stor...

Our 3rd Anniversary – Thank You Very Much (May Donors) 31st May 2012, by AnimalCare
Hi Everyone,
Today is AnimalCare’s 3rd anniversary!
It has been three years since the day I stated AnimalCare with a cardboard box, with a modest and realistic target of helping 10 animals per year in neutering, and I wasn’t even sure if we could achieve that at that time!
Today, after 3 years, we have helped a total of 1978 animals, averaging at about 55 animals per month, and it is all thanks to all of you who have made it possible with your generosity and moral support.
This month...

Out Of The Bonnet And Into A Warm Caring Family! 31st May 2012, by Noah's Ark CARES
Who would imagine finding a kitten in a car bonnet? A few faintish sounding 'meows" prompted our rescuer to open up bonnet for further investigation. A small and extremely filthy little kitten greeted her, not sure if we could call that a pleasant surprise? The rescuer whipped the little one out of the bonnet and settled her quickly into a carrier. The little one meowed relentlessly as she was likely not used to being confined to a small space. She was fed warm food and water, shortly after she ...
