Rescued stray Blair helped relieve her blind canine friend Tanner of seizures, and holds her friend's leash bringing him for walks! Tanner has rebuilt his confidence and life thanks to his new friend Blair's guide and moral support.

The ACRES Wildlife Rescue Team received a call where a snake was caught in the house. When the team arrived, they were utterly dismayed to find the snake had been clubbed to death in fear.
According to the caller, the Paradise Tree snake leapt from the tree that is barely 3 feet away from the corridor, and headed straight into his room. Another Neutering Subsidy For 2 Cats (Hew Sook Yean’s)

Hew Sook Yean’s is a butcher who works at the USJ market. Ever since we agreed to subsidise the neutering of the market cats, she is now actively catching them to be neutered.
Another two were done a few days ago – a male and a female. She says there are MANY cats at the market.
Sook Yean was introduced to our subsidy scheme by our former panel vet.
We have subsidised RM100 for the female and RM80 f0r the male.

Wesak Booth At The SJBA – Thank You For Your Great Support!

Today, we started at 7.00am.
Chun Eng arrived with her special banana cake for our sale today.
Hillary Kon (who is going to climb Mt Kinabalu to raise funds for us at the end of this year) also arrived, and together, the three of us set up the booth.

Khoo Beng Kai, his wife and mother also came a-visiting.

My psycho office boy. He's quite attached to me now and will come over for lots of stroking BUT he's a real monster with other dogs especially during feeding time. BooBie tried to steal his food and ended up with a small wound on his face. Those of you who've seen BooBie will know how crazy Timmy is to attack a dog so much larger without hesitation. :D

Vincent, The Shih Tzu Adopted

Vincent was rescued by a kind lady from Bt 8 Jalan Cheras. When he was found, he sustained many injuries on his ears, face and body. He was treated by Dr. Goh and then fostered by one of the volunteers at Second Chance for few weeks till he regained his health and confidence.He is very active and loves to play with the fosterer's 40kg Golden Retriever, who luckily has a very good natured and allowed him to have a field day with him.Few days ago, Jerrett Ong from USJ was looking for a small breed...

Anthony, the little pup who is only 6 weeks old , has been adopted yesterday by Mr. Lau from Sg. Buluh. He is a dog lover and would like his 2 children love dogs from a very tender age. Mr. Lau has "hunted" around PAWS, SPCA and back to Second Chance to adopt a suitable pup and Anthony seemed to be the ideal choice.Anthony was one of the 7 young pups that were dumped at our shelter door one week ago.
