Updates From Imm’s Shelter, From Ipoh

Here are some updates from Imm’s Shelter, from Ipoh:
The Shelter has improved a lot during the past year. The cats and dogs are able to receive a lot more attention. Thanks to the volunteers in Ipoh who come to the shelter to give the dogs baths and help clean the cats. The sick ones are taken to the vets and those that need further care and attention are fostered by our Ipoh volunteers in their homes. This year we managed to vaccinate most of the dogs. All afternoon, Pole kept calling from the grille. Each time I go in, she would lead me to the pantry either to ask for food or to ask for something.
Finally, by evening, she called again and this time she wanted to show me something.
She led me to the litter-box and squatted in the ready-to-pee position.
I held my breath and didn’t dare more a muscle.
Then, she covered up the “evidence” as all self-respecting cats would.

Spay-Neuter Subsidy For 2 Male Cats And 1 Female Cat (Agnes Cheong’s)

We have subsidised RM160 for neutering of the two male cats of Ms Celine Loh’s and RM100 for the spaying of the mother-cat of Ms Looi’s. Many thanks to Agnes Cheong for promoting CNRM widely and effectively.
We also thank Ms Celine Loh for her RM80 donation and Ms Looi and her customers for their RM40 donation. It would go towards helping other animals.

At about 11.30am, Pole came to the grille and mewed. I went in and she led me to the pantry with those eyes that say, “I’m hungry”. A thought came to me.
