Kami menerima email daripada Mohd Hafiz Md Radzi bersama gambar anak kucing yang ditemui di lorong belakang rumah ibunya pada 5 Ogos 2012 yang lalu. Hafiz memohon bantuan subsidi untuk anak kucing ini. Hafiz segera membawa anak kucing ini ke klinik haiwan Dr Loh, Taman Seruling, Sungai Petani. Baggy, The Pink-Nosed Kitty….

Baggy spent the morning under her table, soaking in as much sunshine as she could.
As it got hotter, she came into the room.
By mid-day, the hungry gang (led by Bunny, usually) asked for food, and since I’m trying desperately to cut down their multiple feedings into 2-3 times per day, I just gave them some kibbles. Baggy was surprisingly interested in having some too (I could tell from her body language).
She ate half of it, which is good. At least she has her appetite again.

Our little Nugget is still looking for a good home!
He has grown in the last two weeks, and his wound has completely healed. A small scar remains but will disappear with time and once his fur grows back to cover it.
Nugget is fearless and eager to make friends. Lately we have been allowing him to spend his playtime with Butch, Wanda, and Poppet. These supervised sessions are great fun for all involved!

I stayed up till almost 2am with Baggy last night. She “seemed” much better late last night so I thought I should monitor to see if there were any positive significant visible changes in her. Connie and I have been exchanging emails on this. A friend from Ipoh also is trying to find out if cats can be given aloe vera. Kelly Tan swears by aloe vera, which has miraculously cured many of her distemper dogs. She uses a certain bottled aloe vera, not the raw plant.
We’ve looked at many links, some testifying to the efficacy of aloe vera for dogs and cats, but urging caution in using it, especially for cats.
A friend says aloe vera is recommended by human leukemia patients.

Transfer Factor For Baggy

This evening, after buka puasa, Maslinda was so kind to drive all the way to give me some Transfer Factor capsules for Baggy.
The TF capsules, to be mixed with AD.
I fed Baggy one capsule about an hour ago. I opened the capsule and mixed it with AD. Gave it to Baggy in three mouthfuls. She ate it all up.

Given her condition, I would feed Baggy as much as she can eat, whenever she is willing to eat.
Since she rejected her AD dinner, I thought I would try a home-cooked supper.
I laid everything out and waited for her to show some interest.

Baggy has been very “assertive” today, but I’m not sure if that’s good, because she only ate a tiny bit of AD this morning, and thereafter, she assertively refused food. I only managed to force-feed her a few mouthfuls after which she would kick off from me and run away.

Medical Subsidy For 1 Female Cat, Dalilah (Baharum Hamzali’s)

We have subsidised RM159.65 for this case of a cat rescued by Baharum Hamzali. The total bill was RM319.30.
The appeal was made by Roshan Robbin (as below) and verified by the vet who attended to this case. The vet also verified that it was Baharum Hamzali who brought in the cat.
The subsidy has been banked in directly into the clinic’s bank account, as per requested by the vet since the bill has not been settled by the rescuer, but the vet has provided a fully itemised receipt.
