Neutering Subsidy For 2 Cats (Angie Ng Chew Khui’s)

We have subsidised RM100 for the spaying of this female cat and sponsored RM50 for the neutering of the male cat. According to Angie, these two cats were recently adopted by a Malay girl.

PetWorld (Petster-SmartHeart) Petfood For Two Rescuers Under Our Food Fund

For our participation in PetWorld 2012, we received 84kg of SmartHeart catfood and 120kg of SmartHeart dogfood through a facebook “like” survey organised by Petster.
The food arrived yesterday and all of the catfood has been given to Maslinda Abd Talib while the dogfood has been given to Mr Low Hang Hong. There were also several packets of dogfood donated by well-wishers and these were given to Mr Low as well.

Cow Says “thank You” To Everyone!

This morning I managed to give Cow is last antibiotic pill…after three attempts, which is the norm.
The last one.
(Cow’s officially registered name at the clinic is “Cowdy” as that was his name when young, but it got shortened to “Cow” over the years and he is now affectionately called ‘Cow Mau” by everyone at home.)

Today is Day 6 of the Cow Saga so I thought I had better take him to the vet to see if the wound is healing or deteriorating as I don’t know how to evaluate by just looking at it.
The vet says it looks good and there is no more pus!
Yay!! Looks like it has healed.

Depending on their condition, not all of our resident dogs are available for adoption.
Berjaya and Skippy are special needs dogs. Berjaya is paralyzed from the waist down and Skippy has a neurological disorder which makes him have poor motor skills especially with his hind legs. We love them and want to take care of them and make their lives easier with their disabilities.

This morning, I mixed the warm salt-iodine solution with the intention of soaking Cow’s paw in it for 15 minutes as instructed by the vet.
I had everything ready – salt-iodine solution at the right temperature, a towel to place on my lap and a watch to keep time. Now, get the Cow.
I got the Cow, but he was already growling when I carried him and the moment I placed his paw into the solution, he jumped up, kicked and fled.
