Healing Energy For Baggy 16th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
A friend dropped in to do energy healing for Baggy this afternoon. Baggy kept moving away, so maybe she isn’t ready to receive the energy yet, but according to my friend, she should have received some of it.
Baggy also started sneezing a little bit this afternoon. I can only think of three reasons for this:
1. The FeLV virus has weakened her, so she caught a cold.
2. The steroids have suppressed her immune system, so she caught a cold.
3. The sneezing is a healing crisis from all the natur...

Burmese Story Continues 16th Aug 2012, by Second Chance
The post on Michael the Burmese man with a big big heart had moved me so much that me and my friends decided to pick a day to visit him and his “adopted” furry fren with some kibbles supplies that hopefully will help him in some way and lessen his burden. We initially expect to see a few dogs but were shocked to see that there are more dogs under his care now. It seems that some irresponsible people took advantage of Michael’s kindness by dumping their unwanted dog ( or could be strays the...

We would like to make another appeal to all applicants to PLEASE fill up the forms correctly, stating the type of animal and gender and also to fill up their bank account numbers correctly and completely before submitting the form to us. Please understand that we receive many applications in a day and have to process them, and pay out subsidies (the bank transaction can only be carried out successfully if the bank account no is correct). The applicant only has ONE form to fill. If applicants cou...

Silly Boy DraGGie. 15th Aug 2012, by SPCA Sarawak
This is a message from DraGGie to those who said he should be put to sleep because he cannot walk and is always smearing his poo and pee everywhere. Although his hind legs still cannot support his bodyweight without help, he can at least lift them up which means the muscles are coming back to life again.

Wheatgrass For Baggy 15th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Since conventional medicine cannot help Baggy in this stage of her condition, I’ve been reading up a lot on natural ways to help the body heal. Most animal caregivers (including professional with years of experience) who adopt the natural way of healing attest to the fact that good nutrition is the most important thing.
Anitra Frazier writes: The first requirement is that the patient enjoys the food and continues to eat.
After yesterday’s trip to the vet’s, I’ve decided...

Freshly Steamed Liver For Baggy’s Supper And Breakfast 15th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Yesterday wasn’t exactly a good day for Baggy. I could see she was feeling rather down after the trip to the vet’s and she spent the day indoors with Uncle Bobby after coming home.
I don’t quite blame her because I too was feeling rather low.
We’re totally relying on instinct now to handle Baggy’s case because there isn’t much that conventional medicine can offer.
Late last night, I thought she looked hungry, so I tried my luck at steaming some fresh liver ...
