Neutering Subsidy For Karat The Cat (Shaidatul’Aini Bt Mohd Shaari’s)

We have subsidised RM80 for Karat’s neutering.
Karat, I’m sure you remember, is the cat whose testicles were tied up by someone with a string which looked like a rubber hairband. He was brought to the vet by Shaidatul (his rescuer) and he has been neutered since. Karat is fine now, all thanks to Shaidatul.

3 Pups Adopted Today!

Today is a happy day at Second Chance because 3 of our pups were adopted!The first pup adopted was Max. Max has been a hot favorite since his picture was in PetFinder.my. I have told the adotpers of our "First Come First Get " policy. So the lucky lady was Madam Than from Cheras. Baggy Eats Dinner!

Ever since that one breakfast yesterday morning, Baggy had not been interested in food at all, so it was back to force-feeding until…dinner just now.
But all throughout the day, I had been force-feeding her small amounts at about 2-hour intervals except for the morning when I was at work.

14 cadets from the St. John Ambulance Brigade (Yishun Secondary School) came to visit the SPCA today. They were here to learn about the SPCA and how they can help animals!
The cadets also bought SPCA merchandise which they are proudly displaying in the photo, in support of the SPCA and our animal welfare cause!

Sometime in March 2012, a flower pot fell on Ah Moon and she was quite badly injured. Amy wrote in to seek help and we recommended that she consult Lydia. Lydia taught Amy how to address the problem with massage, and coupled with a vet’s consultation, Ah Moon slowly recovered.

Ah Fatt’s real name is Then Lai Fatt, but he only wants to be known as “Ah Fatt”. He is a fishmonger at the SS14 market but spends his after-work time doing animal rescue. We have known Ah Fatt for three years now, and have been supporting his work.

This would be the 6th cat we’ve subsidised for spaying, brought in by Hew Sook Yean, a butcher from the USJ marketplace.
RM100 has been banked into Ms Hew’s account.
