Medical Subsidy For A Newly Rescued Kitten, But Now R.I.P. (Maslinda Abd Talib’s)
12th Jun 2012, by AnimalCare

Maslinda rescued a small kitten a few days ago and he had flu. So the kitten was brought to the vet for flu treatment. However, the vet noticed breathing difficulties, so an X-Ray was taken and he was found to have diaphragmatic hernia. Bronsyp Syrup and Clavamox were given for the time being, pending recovery before further treatment was to be administered for the hernia. Sadly, the kitten passed away yesterday. While she was sick, she had stopped eating completely and even spat out food. We have fully sponsored...

Smelling of sweat this humid evening is the least of the rescue team's worries. Here on a cycling path laid a large, regurgitated monitor in the grasp of a young, slim reticulated python. The python, or Slim Shady as we call him, has been safely relocated to the waters nearby and a group of passers-by, happy to share their environment with other species, bade farewell to him. The smell of carcass decomposition around the rescue team, however, will probably linger for awhile more.

Pauline's Unique Birthday Presents
12th Jun 2012, by Second Chance

Pauline turned 24 years old few days ago and a group of friends celebrated the happy day with her. She was asked what she wanted as her birthday presents and guess what! She wanted nothing but dog kibbles, medicated shampoo, Clorox and pails to be given to her so she can donate to a dog shelter. We were moved to tears what this young lady has done.  Most of us would  prefer friends to pamper us with gifts rather than for the animals, bu...

Mr G’s Back At The Stargate!
10th Jun 2012, by AnimalCare

Try to stop a cat from doing what it wants? It will find a way….that is the nature of cats. Perseverance and persistence describe them well, and these are actually good traits to have, isn’t it?  There’s Mr G!    In true Malaysian hospitality…food is a must, somehow.      Baggy is the rep for tonight?  Hold it, hold it…I’m here too. I’ve got everything under control. Tabs is here, do not fear.

Mr G Escapes Too?
10th Jun 2012, by AnimalCare

The evening was quiet.  Baggy got a chair at the Clubhouse.  Indy had no Mr G to talk to. We noticed Mr G’s owner had barricaded their house with netting.  Stargate felt lonely without Mr G.
