Liyuan Lim from Puay Chai 1 SS2 had help SPCA Selangor fundraised during an activity in her school. She helped to sell SPCA merchandises and also made food and other items to sell. Liyuan said that she loves animals and enjoys coming to our shelter to play with the animals here.

Operation Kitty Christmas Has Begun!
The Harmony Fund is rounding up feral cats who are living in perilous places or who are now inaccessible to volunteer feeders. This morning we have our first group at the veterinary clinic including Lucky Berry seen here in his humane trap. Lucky Berry survived the exterminator hired to kill all the cats where he lived.

Mighty Max Lightyear’s Diagnosis (from Lydia)

Hi Kah Yein,
From today’s vet visit we have a definitive diagnosis on Max’s condition- he has two types of barbesiosis (tick fever), babesia canis and babesia gibsoni. This is the cause of the anemia and enlarged spleen. We have already started him on antibiotics and hopefully he responds well because the next treatment option, if he does not improve is not a good option as it has side effects and being a puppy it will have even more potent effects.

I sent him to the vet about 7pm on 24th oct Wed evening and he was discharged the next day

Raven Has Gone Missing….FOUND!!

Updates at 4.15pm: I found the naughty girl!! She came running back from the road. Thank heavens! She is now caged.
She was definitely scared. Came running straight back into the house.

Some updates from Lydia on Mighty Max:
Hi Kah Yein,
Just a quick update before I get all the 4paw kids sorted out at home and rush off to work.
We did a blood test for Max last Thurs as the palpable lump in Max’s abdomen has been bothering me and so I brought Max to the nearest trusted vet to us. The test results were to come back aday or two after so we happily headed off to PD with Max, Hopie and Momo in tow.
