Update On Brave, The Survivor Cat 21st Oct 2012, by Second Chance
Dear readers I am so glad that Brave was adopted today ! by two young and beautiful ladies, Agnes and Michelle (with spectacle). Agnes came across Brave's story through Second Chance's facebook. I am also glad that Agnes and her family are experienced in handling cat. Why i said this was because Brave tried to escape when i was talking to Michelle (Agnes's sister) at the car park. Brave hide under the car and i got so panic, but Michelle managed to grab Brave which cling at one ...

Bosco In Very Critical Condition (suspected Poisoning) 21st Oct 2012, by AnimalCare
Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/10/20/boscos-su dden-high-fever/
As I sit here writing this post, Bosco is fighting for his life at the clinic. I just got home.
To all my friends, I only ask that you join me in praying for Bosco to be strong, to be at peace and to be free from pain and suffering.
Although the clinic is closed today, the vet was kind enough to let me visit.
But he said Bosco looked very down.
He wasn’t interested in food at all, and had to be force-fed.
But the big...

The Harmony Fund is so proud to help sponsor this special project.
We are ultimately seeking a partnership wi...

I’d like to share a delightful email from Toh Han Shen (I think he should be 13 this year). Han Shen started writing to me after his aunt brought home one of my first books. From then on, he has been interested in helping animals and once, he and his school friends rescued a kitten at school.
Below is his email. Previously, I had requested a friend to drop mybooks at his house, but this time, I’ve checked – It wasn’t my friend who dropped the latest books in Han Shen̵...

25 dolphins who once roamed free now face a lifetime in captivity, thanks to Resorts World Sentosa. Their purchase of the wild-caught dolphins has pushed this species closer to extinction in the Solomon Islands. It’s time for these dolphins to be returned home, and we need your help to speak up for them. Bosco’s Sudden High Fever 20th Oct 2012, by AnimalCare
Bosco did not eat this morning and I sensed something was wrong because he almost never refused food. At around noon, I noticed he was sitting under the hot sun and salivating.
I quickly brought him to the vet’s.
The vet took his temperature and it was 41.5 degrees, which is in the danger zone. Bosco had to be put on drips to bring the temperature down. And since he was salivating, he may have ingested something toxic and the drips would be needed to address this too. Another possibility w...

WHY WE NEED FOSTER FAMILY? 20th Oct 2012, by SPCA Sarawak
When very young puppies or kittens come into our shelters, they often have a slim chance of survival. Foster parents help by providing a temporary home to the youngsters until they're ready to be adopted into permanent homes. The rewards of being a foster parent are many. They include offering an animal a second chance and the added benefit of receiving the love and attention right back from the animal you nurture. You will directly experience 'temporary mother/fatherhood' by raisi...

The process involved a very thorough (and expensive!) medical check-up, carried out in stages months before and prior to Bern and Don’s departure, Creamy and friends had to be flown off on an earlier flight. Then, they had to undergo a one month quarantine in a luxury hotel in Melbourne while Be...

AMERICAN HEROES IN JERUSALEM
Judith Weaver of Florida was working for the State Department and stationed at the American Consulate in Jerusalem when she became submerged in the plight of street cats. Even though she'd never even had a pet cat of her own, Judith became a champion for the cats and, working with fellow volunteer Lieutenant Colonel Michael Feltman from the Seattle, she went about the mission of spaying/neutering more than 1,000 of them.
The next time you think a problem is ...
