Baby Blanket’s Doing Well (from Megaa) 25th Nov 2012, by AnimalCare
Good news! Megaa says she would like to foster Baby Blanket and will find a good home for her later – thank you very much, Megaa.
A note to everyone: While we have put in place a policy of NOT advertising for fosterers but only for adopters, if any reader, on his/her own free will wants to offer to foster and rehome, you are most welcome to liaise directly with the rescuer and make your own arrangements.
From Megaa:
Hi Dr.Chan,
Quick update on Baby Blanket,
She’s well, drinking 2.5c...

Off to The Philippines for the hearing in Court about whether Resorts World should be prevented from re-exporting the dolphins to Singapore. WAIT, they already exported the dolphins... Is Resorts World really that powerful?
Is AVA in contempt of the Philippines Court? Should AVA have waited for the final judgment from the Philippines Court before allowing the trade?
If you feel we need to fight this injustice, please share our posts and please join us at the "Candlelight Vigil and Memorial Se...

Below is a request from Mary Yap. Please help if you can.
Hi KY
These stray kittens need URGENT help to be rehomed. I suspect they are dumped by ex-tenant. Our management has contacted the council following complaints from residents. We were told that the council will come anytime. The kittens are healthy and estimated to be around 5 months old. The ginger is a male whilst the two black kittens, a male and a female. The management gave us 1 week to rehome them or they will call the council again...

Oscar, Missing Dog In USJ13 (Eileen Ng’s) – FOUND!! 24th Nov 2012, by AnimalCare
Updates on 25th Nov – Oscar has been found!!
We often lament about intolerant and unhelpful neighbours who do not like animals, neighbours who complain, etc. But here is a heartwarming story that will put our faith back on humans.
From Eileen:
A big thanks to Mr Balan from USJ9 who kept Oscar for the last 2 days. He let Oscar out this morning and was going to follow him to see if he knows where to return. I started my hunt in USJ19 this morning and hit the jackpot!

On A Rainy Day, Where Are The Community Cats? 24th Nov 2012, by AnimalCare
It rained this morning in Subang Jaya and I didn’t see the community cats eating at the pavilion. I suspect there is a rain shelter somewhere, a “secret” place only for the cats. I hope there is, so that they don’t get wet (and fall sick).
I went out to look for Rosie…
Hmm…where is Rosie?
And there…she came running and meowing!
For a special treat, she gets Monge Atlantic Tuna with her raw food today.
I saw two fleas on Rosie, but I’m a littl...

Updates On 23rd Nov 2012 23rd Nov 2012, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
It was a rather lucky day for clumsy Brie, the Black bittern! After having crashed into someone's house, she was rescued by a kind member of public and called us for help. Brie was obviously defensive like all other bitterns, but fortunately she did not suffer any injuries and was released soon after rescue. Thanks to the caller for helping Brie and our volunteer Xiu Li for documenting our day's rescues!

Feline Wars And Other Tales 23rd Nov 2012, by AnimalCare
If you remember, sometime last week, I noticed a new cat on the block. He looked exactly like Bosco in terms of size and markings, the only difference being the fact that Bosco had Bunny-coloured markings while this new cat has ginger markings on white. He’s been around and just the other day, he was resting on Rosie’s favourite table in our compound and I managed to identify him as a male. His face resembles Bosco when Bosco first came – he has that sharp face and is rather th...
