And it looks like we have to say it again.
It’s very hard being the “middle-person”, (previously) sourcing for fosterers, now adopters and once in a while, rescuers.
Many of those who respond are our friends and they respond because they trust me. Unfortunately, many of those who ask for help are not our acquaintances and while most of the...

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/11/27/clash-of- the-titans-of-the-feline-kind/
The Chinese has a saying that goes like this: Big problem becomes small problem; Small problem becomes no problem.
Which would be what I hope has happened in my cat clan after yesterday’s triple clash of the titans (details in above link).
Indy was traumatised all night and it was only much, much later that I got him to eat something. That was also when I noticed one of his claws had been bitten off (either...

Clash Of The Titans (of The Feline Kind) 27th Nov 2012, by AnimalCare
Yes, sometimes we say it may not be wise for young children to watch too much violence and gore as the impressionable young mind is vulnerable and easily influenced. Hence, we have what is known as censorship and the classification of movies into categories.
Young human minds can be easily influenced by what they watch, but what about feline minds? And do cats even watch movies? I know mine don’t.
Today, I had to deal with three “clash of the titans”…of the feline kind.

Connie Adopts The Ninja Turtles Herself! 27th Nov 2012, by AnimalCare
Last Sunday, Connie sent an S.O.S. – a friend had given her 3 turtles because the friend could no longer keep them, and Connie had put them into her fish pond, but one turtle started attacking her fish. So Connie thought it better to rehome the turtles as she could not risk a turtle-fish confrontation on a daily basis, which could be life-threatening, presumably to the fish.
Hence, the post: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/11/25/3-ninja- turtles-for-adoption-connie-james/
I sought PAWS’...

The Boys Meet Buddy 27th Nov 2012, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMnrA_KNnPY&feature =youtu.be
A few months ago when Buddy, a black lab mix, was found running down Maybank Highway on John’s Island, South Carolina. It quickly became apparent that something was wrong with his eyes, and it turned out that he needed surgery to repair the eyelashes that were pointing inward in a birth defect that made it feel as though he had gravel beneath his eyelids. Volunteer Tracie Mitchum was able to secure a deep discount for the procedure...

Second Chance would like to say a big thank you to Christine and Pearly.Last week,...
