How do I look to you? Genuinely lost or abandoned? I was found roaming around Magnum shop along Jalan Free School. SPCA named me `MAGNUM'. A good samaritan picked me up and shelter me for a week in a flat/apartment. I was a home alone boy with no one to be with. I was feeling bored and started barking for attention. All afternoon, Pole kept calling from the grille. Each time I go in, she would lead me to the pantry either to ask for food or to ask for something.
Finally, by evening, she called again and this time she wanted to show me something.
She led me to the litter-box and squatted in the ready-to-pee position.
I held my breath and didn’t dare more a muscle.
Then, she covered up the “evidence” as all self-respecting cats would.

Spay-Neuter Subsidy For 2 Male Cats And 1 Female Cat (Agnes Cheong’s)

We have subsidised RM160 for neutering of the two male cats of Ms Celine Loh’s and RM100 for the spaying of the mother-cat of Ms Looi’s. Many thanks to Agnes Cheong for promoting CNRM widely and effectively.
We also thank Ms Celine Loh for her RM80 donation and Ms Looi and her customers for their RM40 donation. It would go towards helping other animals.

At about 11.30am, Pole came to the grille and mewed. I went in and she led me to the pantry with those eyes that say, “I’m hungry”. A thought came to me. After all, after this morning’s nightmarish incident I had half a mind to skip this evening’s dose of the anti-inflammatory, but since she is hungry, why don’t I just try the oldest trick in the book of crushing the small white tablet and mixing it with her wetfood?

Pole, The Pilling Nightmare

Pole and Cleo had always been pilling nightmares since they were young. Why, I cannot even pop in a dewormer and have to take them to the vet’s for that purpose. You can’t crush the pill and put in the food, because they (in fact, all of our cats) will smell it out and eat everything except the parts that contain the bits of the crushed pill.

SPCA Seberang Perai has only very limited manpower. Mdm. Tan with her 2 workers are practically the only ones running the shelter with occasional volunteers. The shelter is not capable of going around the whole state picking up strays everytime you send in a request. Pole Seems To Be Back To “normal”

After we came back from the clinic, Pole groomed herself for quite some time.
Then, she fell asleep on the shelf.
She slept for a long time.
In the evening, she went out to the garden and joined the rest for their evening sojourn. I watched her but she did not go anywhere near the litter-box, so I haven’t got to see her urinate yet.
As night fell, she was wide awake and kept walking all over the garden. She is still very active and agile, jumping easily from the ground to the shelves...
