One-Eyed Skinny
3rd Dec 2012, by Noah's Ark CARES

Skinny – An apt name given to this black and white boy with a lean frame who always carries a grin when one sees him. And even when I met him for the very first time.We got a call from our regular pet transport on a weekend morning asking for help on behalf of a Muslim lady H who had been feeding a stray dog at her industrial area workplace. Skinny suffered a hit from a big wooden stick by a worker a week or two ago, and his eye was now red and swollen. H wanted to help Skinny seek medic...

Brambleberry (pictured here with Sabrina) was rescued 3 years ago from a feral colony that was under attempted extermination. Three years later, extraordinary circumstances gave us an opportunity to save his brother who was still living outside and had returned to the area. His brother, now named Huckleberry, lives in a cozy barn sanctuary near our headquarters. We are so grateful for all the opportunities we have to save homeless cats near and far. The whole month of December will be devo...

We Have Keychains Again!
2nd Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

My mother was interested to learn how to make the keychains, so our reader (who has been contributing the keychains to us) taught my mum how to make them yesterday. By today, my mum has made 50 keychains so we have stock again now! If you’d like to order a specific design, please write in to enquire. Please be informed that we may not have certain designs as the “charms” depend on availability of stock. Some of the charms might come in different colours too. 50 new keychains...

Mei Hua’s Progress (Mdm Hoo And Lai Mei Kueen’s)
1st Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

Mei Hua was a street dog who dragged her paralysed hind legs around when first noticed by Mdm Hoo. When Mdm Hoo met me at the Cutie Pet Fair, I told her to rescue Mei Hua first and we would help with the medical bills and also introduce the case to Lydia to see if physiotherapy would help. I gave her the name “Mei Hua” after the national flower of Taiwan. Ever strong and resilient. Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/09/1 2/another-dog-victim-lai-mei-kueens/ The above link shows Mei H...

Why do we need you to be there? Well, to symbolise our sorrow at the dolphins’ needless deaths and our hope for freedom for the surviving dolphins, we’ll be standing together, creating the shape of a jumping dolphin, and holding our candles in tribute to the dolphins and to say sorry to them...
