We recommend soaking your feeders and accessories in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and hot water, giving ...

Updates On 11th Jan 2013 11th Jan 2013, by SPCA Selangor
Why do we encourage adoption and discourage buying pets from pet shops?
1) Animals in pet shops usually come from breeders who breed intensively (2-3 times a year) in bad conditions i.e. cramped cages, no exercise or freedom of movement, no socialization, and limited medical attention. Responsible breeders want to know where their kittens and puppies are going and make an effort to thoroughly interview potential owners, thus very unlikely to sell them to pet shops where people walk in and buy o...

A New Cat On The Block? 11th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
No sooner had Timmy been neutered and released than we noticed a new cat on the block.

Not scuttle or ran, but walked…in his own time in a most leisurely manner. What was striking about his appearance is his very long legs. He is a very tall cat and he instantly remin...

Updates On 10th Jan 2013 10th Jan 2013, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
A few weeks ago, the Harmony Fund international animal rescue charity came across a plea from a small group of volunteers known as Balkan Underdogs. They needed help and quickly.
“This boy needs a home urgently,” the group administrators explained. “He lives in Serbia, is six months old, neutered and vaccinated. Lovely natured dog. Some monsters decided to put paint on him which made his skin sore and itchy. He was caught by the dog catchers but the locals asked them not to kill him. S...
