We’ll be opening our booth at the Animal Awareness Day on Thursday, 17th January, at Centrepoint, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, from 8am-3pm. The event is open to the public, so do drop in and pick up our free books or support us in purchasing (by donation) our tshirts, keychains, soap, toothpaste and other goodies. There will also be booths selling Chinese New Year cookies and pet supplies.

Spotlight on: Green Iguana
Found native in the lush rainforests of South America, the green iguana can live up to 20 years in the wild.
Some interesting facts about iguanas:
- They can survive a 12-metre drop from a tree without getting injured.
- They often break their tail to escape after getting caught. The tail will grow back eventually.
- The mothers lay the eggs underground and depart. Babies hatch, dig themselves out, and are on their own to survive.

Mr Low feeds about 20-30 abandoned dogs on a barren piece of land in North Port. Today, we sponsored 10 packs of dogfood (from Avant Pet) for this dog community. This sponsorship comes from our Food Fund and Andy Lew.

This happy pooch is Valli, a 2-year-old mutt full of love and energy. He's such a sweetheart, he gets along with just about everybody, but will need lots of exercise and playtime to satisfy his active nature. Though we know anyone with a willing heart would be a great owner, Valli is sadly, not HDB-approved. If you or someone you know could give Valli his forever home, don't waste another moment!

A SWEET, TOUCHING & HEARTWARMING story of Keedy and the inseparable bond with her rescuer, Aida.
This poor kitten suffered from a blind eye, paralyzed lower body, respiratory tract infection and other injuries - most likely from an accident.
For 2 years, the rescuer nursed her with extreme love and care. Keedy was incredibly intelligent, playful, patient, affectionate, well-behaved, sweet, funny and all-round lovable.
