Hey folks!! Everyone is in the CNY mood but let's not forget our pets and animal friends!
We're giving free spaying/neutering coupons during our Chap Dog Meh event on 24 Feb 2013 Jaya One!
This is in conjunction with the World Spay Day and we will be giving away 200 free spay/neuter coupons worth a total of RM150 each!

Cancer-Sniffing Dog Saves Owner's Life

LAKE OF EGYPT -- Dogs are often called man's best friend, and that certainly proved true for 19-year-old Ricky Hatfield. The Lake of Egypt teen says he owes his life to his 2-year-old retriever, Maverick.

Two days ago, Edwin received a call from someone who says she came across a Schanauzer that may be Edwin’s dog, but the call came from a private number and Edwin has no resources to trace that number now. Pets given up by owners
As we begin drafting the 2012 Annual Report we notice some very worrying figures when it comes to the pets brought in to SPCA Penang by their owners during the year. Compared to 2011, we see a 20% increase in the number of dogs surrendered - bad enough - but a totally unacceptable 146% increase in the number of cats surrendered.
We cannot emphasize enough that taking on a pet is a major commitment - time, money, trust... and your love. Think it through before taking on ...

I’m afraid this is no longer a gentle reminder as I have been receiving quite a number of claim forms sent via Poslaju.
It is written clearly in our subsidy policies which is sent to all applicants when they write in to request for subsidy (note the part in red) to please NOT use Poslaju:

Dogs do not instinctively know what we want them to do. They don’t intentionally do things to make us upset (on the contrary, they love to please us).
Be a responsible pet owner and put in the effort to train your dog (and even more so, yourself on how to behave around an animal). Don’t assume that your dog already knows what to do!
