Thursday' s Adoption Spotlight: Munchie
Age: 3 months
Breed : Local
Munchie wins many hearts with his lovely coat and colour, but he's also looking for someone who will see beyond that and appreciate his energy and liveliness. This growing kitten is eagerly waiting for his own family, and can't wait to play and bounce around with his own humans. Are you ready for a lifetime commitment?

Lilian Tan is applying for a subsidy for the neutering of Biscotti, a puppy she rescued and is now adopting. But behind this rescue story is another story – one that illustrates that it is possible to change the mindset of people, from being callous about animal welfare to being caring.

The Plight Of Being An “Undercat” 24th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
We have the “Thundercats”, and we have the “Undercats”.
The “Undercats” is a minority organisation and there are currently only two members: Willy-O and Tabs. One outside and one inside. Of course between the two, Willy-O is a bigger victim than Tabs. The former is bullied by Vincent Valentino Starr, Mr G and possibly even Ginger while the latter is bullied by the Cow Family.
That being the case, feeding Willy-O is fast becoming a skill. A juggling skill, if y...

Can We Be The Voice Of The Majority….one Day? 24th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
With the “mother of all elections” just around the corner, coffee shop talk inevitably leads to elections talk. In one such encounter, I wondered aloud if our constituency can ever (as we’ve proposed 3 years ago) be the first township in the country to implement CNRM on a grand scale (sanctioned and instituted by the local councils). Why We Are Different 24th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
I was watching a Barbra Streisand youtube yesterday and she quoted Archbishop Desmond Tutu just before her rendition of the song “Somewhere”.
We are different.
Some use this to alienate, dominate and bully.
Some use it to understand and extend a helping hand.
When lost in the jungle, it might be the sniffer dogs who will find and rescue us. When lost at sea and surrounded by sharks, it might be the dolphins who will save our lives.
But in our concrete jungle, it’s our turn to ...

ONE MAN'S MISSION TO FEED 400 DOGS
More at http://harmonyfund.org/donation/sashas-shelter.htm l
Sasha Pejčić cares for 400 dogs at his breathtaking animal shelter in Serbia. The dogs eat, play, run and sleep together peacefully. Most have been taken off of the streets and nursed back to health (also spayed and neutered) and now live in a large pack in a disused riding school. At night they sleep in stables in groups of about 15. However funding has suddenly slowed to a trickle. The Austrian or...
