This is one of the event by SPCA Seberang Perai held at Jit Sin Independent High School.
A total of 14 puppies and 2 cats were adopted during the event. We are indeed very grateful to those who had came to support us at the event.

About two hours ago, Meiji texted me to inform me that Doby had passed on.
Doby was one of our Klang rescue dogs in 2010. We had brought back 8 from the sanctuary because these 8 were identified as being unwell. Out of these 8 dogs, Wendy passed away of distemper. Sean and Tara survived distemper and were rehomed, Perky and Roger were also rehomed. We were left with Russell, Sweetie and Jackie. SPCA Penang will be at the launch of the George Town Festival - Esplanade, Saturday June 8, 3pm - 7pm - many activities, do drop by!

The SPCA is appealing for witnesses for a case that happened on May 29 2013 at about 645am where a dead cat was found at the foot of Block 92 Bedok North Ave 4, by members of the public. The cat may have been thrown from the same block.
The SPCA is looking for leads to this case that will assist us on finding the identification of the person/s who may be responsible for this cruel act.

Oh my gosh, I almost forgot….today is AnimalCare’s 4th anniversary and it took a donor to remind me just now! Chucky & Blackie have banked in a donation to commemorate our 4th anniversary with us. They always remember – Thank you so much!
It was on 31st May 2009 that we started and we are four years old today.

We have subsidised RM188.40 for this case (50% of the total claimable bill of RM376.80). As per our policy,we cannot subsidise the extra boarding of RM42. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM88.40) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).

We refer to the video and images that have been circulating on the web involving the trapping of a stray dog in Bukit Batok. Our inspectors were informed of the case and arrived on the scene along with the police and AVA. The case is now undergoing further investigation by the AVA and the police.

We have been receiving encouraging messages from the public since the story of the rescued pup from pound was published.
There is even a good hearted Samaritan, Peter who shared with us his past rescued mission where he saved a puppy from the streets of Bangsar, KL.
He has since moved to the States 2 years ago and guess what? He brought along the puppy he saved with him and his family.
Rosie is now a healthy girl, happily staying with Peter and family.

We have just been informed by the vet that Bonny passed away this morning. She was found lifeless when the vet came in today. We are shocked especially when I just saw her yesterday, after being spayed.
