I don’t publish such stories anymore these days because (1) I’ve grown accustomed to the task of having dealing with them. This heart-wrenching case is just one of many that we encounter at the SPCA. We do our best in pursuing those who commit such callous acts, and hope to put an end to such gross cases of neglect/abuse.

Another child touches our heart with her generous act.
Ashley asked for a donation tin to be placed at her birthday party because she wanted to raise funds for the animals. Instead of asking for birthday presents, she asked her friends to come with donations for the animals instead. Her parents supported her wholeheartedly by helping her spread the word to family and friends. Even her grandparents who were overseas were involved in spreading the message!

This mama dog with a swollen wound on her neck and her young puppy was reported to us by Mr. Lim, found around Prai Precico Electronics Sdn. Bhd.
Richard, our HERO went to the location and try get both mama and puppy yesterday but sadly failed to catch the mama as she kept running away.
The puppy is now safe and will be put up for adoption. As for the mama, Mr. Lim will continue to feed her and try to gain her trust before attempting to catch her again and send her to the shelter.

BaBa on his 5th day at the shelter. No discharge and skin looks good and healing well. It's a tricky spot because there's tension on it which increases whenever he moves so it's a good thing that he's a calm and quiet dog which makes it all the more impossible to understand why he was hacked.

A Navy Blue Speak Up Tshirt!!

We’ve often been asked why we don’t have a blue tshirt or why we don’t have more dark-coloured tshirts, especially by rescuers who say a white tshirt isn’t suitable for rescue work (for obvious reasons!).

Way back in my old house, the tree shrews (popularly known as “Malaysian squirrels”) used to come into our kitchen and eat our bananas or cat kibbles. Our cats allowed them to eat. Even way, way before the cats came, Mac shared his dog kibble with them too. None of our dogs or cats attacked them.
