We were in Selayang to purchase dogfood yesterday, so we dropped in to visit Andy Lew and Emily. If you remember, they adopted Baloo and Baggy from me and gave both a wonderfully happy life. Though it was short (due to congenital disease; Baggy had FeLV), but it was happy.

Medical Subsidy For Thong-C, A Sporo Cat (Dr Veeranoot Nissapatorn’s)

We have subsidised RM211.50 for Thong-c’s treatment. This sponsorship comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM111.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).
Dr Veeranoot has redonated the entire sum to our Medical Fund and we thank her very much for it.

More on the Silky Terrier we found near the coffeeshop at Blk 603 Clementi West Street 1...
Our vet consultant had carefully removed the fur around her snout so she could better clean the area and reduce the chances of an infection. It was heartbreaking to see the extent of the injury inflicted on our little friend. We're treating her injuries the best we can, and she's recovering well despite everything she has gone through.

The way you move and behave makes all the difference in putting a fearful animal at ease.
- Let the animal decide whether or not to approach. Don’t restrain the animal and force it to accept contact.
- When facing the animal, always turn to the side. Facing them directly comes off as confrontational.
- It is perfectly fine to look at the animal, but make sure not to stare directly in its eyes. A direct stare is a threat in the animal kingdom (even we don’t like to be stared at!).
