Timmy Has To Go On A Diet (vet’s Advice)

I had been worried about Timmy’s “two-bowls tummy”, so I made an appointment for him to see the vet this evening.
His bulgy abdomen has been quite worrying, especially when I only feed him twice a day and he doesn’t eat more than anyone else.
Off we go to the vet’s, Timmy.
Poor boy….he didn’t know why.
The vet was quite sure there was nothing wrong with Timmy, judging from his demeanour.

As part of the Girl Scout tradition, the girls from Girls Scouts of America Overseas Troop 62 collected their dues as part of efforts to teach others how to give selflessly and help those in need. At the end of the school year, the girls came together and decided to donate the money raised to the animals in need.

The Zurik Incursion Continues

I spoke too soon, thinking that Mr Zurik would come to the patio peacefully and not put on any aggressive front.
I was wrong.
After the (chemically seeded) rain yesterday, we had fairly clear skies this morning.
Mr Zurik had taken over Willy’s breakfast spot, so I had to go across to the playground to feed the frightened Willy.
Will see if we can train him to eat at the dustbin platform.
Vincent is on guard.

This sweet mother dog and her pups are living in Croatia. The mother is so good with her little ones, taking time to make sure each is safe and nursing enough. The mother was taken in by a very kind woman who knew that the dog had been beaten and lost several teeth. Dora, a Croatian animal lover, wrote to us the other night pleading for help to provide food and veterinary care for this family of dogs. How could we say no?

I quickly intervened. We cannot have our guest harmed, right?

Spaying Subsidy For 1 Female Cat (Hew Sook Yean’s)

Hew Sook Yean and her father does CNRM for the community cats around the USJ market. We have subsidised RM100 for the spaying of this female cat. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM40) and Berjaya Cares (RM60).

Neuter Your Dog, Prevent Pyometra!
This poor dog was brought in by her distraught owner. The dog was unneutered, but her owner had managed to prevent her from mating and getting pregnant for 6 years. The SPCA Vets did a check-up and found it was a severe case of pyometra (infection of uterus, gradually filled with pus), which is common in unspayed female dogs.
