When I let in out of the garage (where it had allowed me to hide it) it started to trot off, but then stopped, turned back at looked at me as if to say thank you, before it turned and headed back over the fields towards its home.

Today, for the first time, Willy attempted to come out of the cage.
Just one or two more days, Willy. We’ve come this far already.
The vet said to bring him back for a check up tomorrow or Tuesday. If his scrotum is fully healed, we can get him neutered. If not, we’ll see if he can be vaccinated yet. Either way, I need to catch him again because I don’t think I would want to cage him for another 2 weeks...

Since the Primal Freeze-Dried stock has not arrived yet, I’ve been storing this one pack as treats for everyone.

A Peaceful Sunday

For once today, Mr Zurik did not make a fuss or “cari pasal” with Vincent.
There was peace at the patio as everyone bad breakfast.
The after-breakfast sojourn.
There is peace.
Heidi came much later in the morning.
Last night, she stayed until midnight.
This morning, she hung out at the basketball court to accompany my husband as he did his exercise.

Our Books Are In Kulai, Johor!

At the recent Pet World 2013, Shaidatul brought her children to visit us. They had come all the way from Kulai on the last day. Shaidatul and her family helped carry some books back to Kulai for distribution and some were put at Gloria’s Pet Store.

Heidi, What’s Your Story?

I guess we will never know, just as we’ll never know Willy’s story too. My initial supposition that Willy had come from the same house as Vincent could be wrong. He’s just too scared of people to have been a former pet. Yet, He’s always hung around that same house that Vincent came from.

Understanding Willy

I’m beginning to understand Willy’s calls now that I had been home all day today, sitting near his cage. When he calls, it’s because he has urinated or defecated and wants his newspapers and trays to be cleaned. Hmm…clever cat. So it would seem that Willy likes to be clean, and it does make me wonder how he could have lived with the smeared anus and scrotum (with faecal matter) for so many days previously. It must have disturbed him a lot.

Joanne went to the shelter one day and saw Zessie sitting quietly at one corner, head down with low confidence and obvious skin problem.
A non-perky puppy with skin disease like her seldom attracted people to adopt but something in her attracted Joanne and thus she decided to get her out from the shelter and nurse her back to health before putting her up for adoption and find her a loving family.

Her previous owner had not been treating her well, ending up with her being malnourished.
