Of Concerts, Ceramahs And Animal Rights, Part 5 (Today Is The Day!!)
5th May 2013, by AnimalCare

Animal welfare in this country is behind time. We want more responsible and compassionate leaders who are willing to listen to our needs. We want kinder laws for street animals. Pray for clean and fair elections today, folks. It’s now or never. Please do your part. SALAM UBAH! They can’t, so we shall speak up for them! Change happens all the time and in the same way that none of us can ever imagine Malaysia regressing to an age where women are not allowed access to education, we can...

Normal And Natural
4th May 2013, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

Did you know that nearly all of the egg-laying hens in Singapore are kept in tiny cages, never seeing the light of day? (Shared from the CCTV For All Slaughterhouses Facebook page): Today is International Respect for Chickens Day. Please watch this moving video from Edgar's Mission - Normal and Natural. In December last year 752 hens were gently lifted from their cages and liberated after a farmer had a change of heart. It's a beautiful video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYP2LGOev3 w&fea...

Poor Goldie Abandoned And Then Adopted
4th May 2013, by Second Chance

Glodie was found tied outside the Old Klang road wet market, without any shelter over him. Luckily for him, one of our volunteers saw him and took him back to the shelter. He is estimated to be 5 or 6 y/o or more, there were maggots found on his right leg and many wounds at many parts of his underside body. Goldie is probably traumatised at the sight of other dogs at our crowded shelter, or missing his owner badly, or maybe  both. A sad and depressed dogStill lookin...

The “Dirty Dozen”
4th May 2013, by AnimalCare

Nope, this has nothing to do with the elections tomorrow although the word “dirty” immediately makes one associate it with the dirty tactics used by certain desperate parties to win. This has something to do with corporation giants who not only use animal testing rampantly but supply the animals for this cruel industry. Here they are, PETA’s “Dirty Dozen”: http://www.peta.org/features/dirty- dozen-12-worst-CEOs.aspx?utm_campaign=0513%20Dirty %20Dozen%20Feature&...

3rd May 2013, by AnimalCare

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2013/04/29/of-concer ts-ceramahs-and-animal-rights-part-3-hopeful-news/ We wish we didn’t have to “get involved” with politics and politicians because we’d pretty much rather get on with our lives and all the things we have to do, but like it or not, politics and politicians impact in a big way on our lives. They decide how certain things are run, they make laws and we are governed by these laws. In the area of animal welfare, local councils...
