Here’s the second part in a series of what to watch out for when cat-proofing your home (we’re quite sure some parts apply to other animals too!).
Household danger #2: Poisonous plants

Snow White Comes Back For Supper 11th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Snow White came to the patio after dinner this evening, but she was too afraid to stay and ran off when I tried to offer her some food.
But I guess hunger got to her and she came again, half an hour ago.
This time she stayed and did not even flinch when I poured some kibbles into the bowl in front of her.
However, guess who tried to intimidate her?
Mr G!
Yes, her housemate, Mr G – tried to wrestle the food from her.
So, to pacify everyone…
Note: Our Timmy Two Bowls is NOT eating.
I ...

Updates On 11th Aug 2013 11th Aug 2013, by SPCA Seberang Perai
Many times we have stressed that the shelter is too overloaded to take in more animals BUT unfortunately people still kept dumping unwanted animals at the shelter's ground or insisting us to take in when we rejected them...some even to the extend of threatening us that they will dump the animals on the streets should we not accept them.
Dear ALL, no matter how much we wanted to help these animals, we too have our limitation. We do not have unlimited resources. Funds, manpower, land, etc...all...

Willy Returns, Snow White Visits And Mr Zurik Escapes!! 11th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
There are three stories in this post.
Where should I start?

It started when I went out to look for Willy and spotted him near the fire hydrant. I had brought only the ID kibbles with me so I quickly laid the bowl near him ...

The Foie Gras Assembly Line And Other Atrocities….so, Do Please Eat Less Meat 11th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
A friend sent me a youtube of the Foie Gras assembly line, not something anyone of us here would want to see because I know our readers are all animal lovers and do not need to be reminded of the horrendous and atrocious cruelty prevalent in the meat industry.
So let’s promote our “Go Meatless Once a Week” campaign, shall we?
Sound advice and now famous opening line from Michael Pollan’s book, Food Rules: Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
