Tennessee Dog Adopts Abandoned Kitten 19th Aug 2013, by PetFinder.my
Meet Ba Boo, a 3 year old shar pei from Kodak Tennessee. Her owner, Sherry Brandt, describes her as a sweet dog who likes to be at home. And why wouldn't she? Ba Boo has everything a single dog could want, her own house, her own yard, her own space. That all changed when Ba Boo's owner brought home a new friend.
Sherry's daughter rescued an abandoned kitten from a local Kroger parking lot. They took the kitten in and named her Ally. It didn't take long for Ba Boo and Ally to hit things off, con...

Updates On 19th Aug 2013 19th Aug 2013, by SPCA Singapore
Here’s the final part in a series of what to watch out for when cat-proofing your home (we’re quite sure some parts apply to other animals too!).
Household danger #3: Windows and balconies
Every window that you plan to open needs to have a cat-proof screen that fits the window frame securely enough to stay firmly in place when confronted by your cat. Ordinary screens can be easily torn by claws or teeth. A fall from a second- or third-story window could cause serious injury or death.

WOMAN TRUCKS IN FOOD TO SAVE STARVING HERDS 19th Aug 2013, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
It's time to get ready for the dinner party. But what do you serve when each guest weighs 3,000 pounds?
This month we're helping to save the herds here at Hippo Haven in Zimbabwe. Low rainfall has turned most of the green landscape here to dust. In order to protect the grazing animals here from utter starvation, nearly a TON of hay and other goodies are served each evening to keep them alive.
To see more incredible photos and to help us feed the wild ones here, please visit us here

Toilet Tales! 19th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare

A kitty tale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C4pzEgncFY
A word of advice: Do NOT attempt to teach your dog or cat to do this no matter how cool it looks UNLESS you are ALWAYS present to supervise. There are also cases of drowning when pets do this unsupervised. Always keep the toilet seat and cover down after use.
Actually, without training, Bunny knows how to do it too!
This photo was taken on 19th June, 2011, in...

It was really hot this afternoon over here…
Where was everyone?
Mr Zurik doesn’t seem to want to go home as well.
That’s Mr G, by the way.
Daffodil and Ginger were not around. They must have gone to their “other house”.
Over at Bunny’s Place…
Tiger is yawning!
This is Tabs’ new secure place.
Later in the evening, Mr Zurik came to the grille, hoping to make some connections with the members of Bunny’s Place, but…
Cow flew int...

Mr G’s “bahasa Ibunda” 18th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Last night, we tried to get Mr G to go home. He was inside the house, lounging in our dining room.
So I told him to go home in Chinese. He didn’t budge. I told him to “go home” in English, he just looked at me.
Then, my husband said, “Mr G, balik!!”
And he scuttled off….but only to the patio and stayed there with Daffodil.
Was it the tone of the voice, or does Mr G only understand his “bahasa ibunda”?!!
My guess is he did not go home. He was her...

A Primal Breakfast Mania! 18th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Since Primal is quite pricey and I am feeding 7 inside and 8 outside (that’s a total of 15 regular diners) with the occasional guests, ie. Willy and Snow White, I had a brainwave this morning.
And since everyone likes to eat Primal neat (dry, without adding water), I thought I’d mix their regular wetfood with Primal. This way, I save a bit AND they get Primal with moisture from the wetfood.
I mixed Monge with Primal nuggets!!
Cats’ sense of smell is SO good, the Patio Family ...
