Poor Tabs… 2nd Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
I gave Tabs the Laxatone last night, as instructed by the vet. Unfortunately, she could not retain it and spent the next half an hour vomiting it out. It breaks one’s heart to see this and there is nothing much I could do except to give the Metronidazole 48 hours to do its work.
After the massive vomiting (which resulted in me washing the cushion covers and mats), she just sat and watched me sew the next blanket. I think she could not agree with the Laxatone.
The plan for this morning is t...

Tabs Has High Fever (suspected Bacterial Infection Due To Hairball) 1st Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
For the past two days, I noticed liquid vomit on the pantry floor. Normally, it comes from Pole as she is quite prone to hairball and 1-2 days on Laxatone would do the trick. So I fed Pole and Cleo Laxatone, but the liquid vomit was still there.
It was only today that I noticed it wasn’t Pole or Cleo but Tabs who had been vomiting. I should have known it was Tabs as the vomit had lemongrass in it. Tabs likes to eat lemongrass.
This morning Tabs did not finish her breakfast and by late af...

Medical Subsidy For 6 Community Cats/kittens In Ipoh (Lee Chew Keang’s) 1st Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
The two bills total RM354 and we have subsidised RM177. This subsidy come from the AnimalCare Donors (RM77) and Berjaya Cares (RM100). This is the third time we have subsidised the medical treatment of Bo. The five cats mentioned below appear to be getting sick with diarrhoea, suspected to have resulted from drinking unhygienic drain water.
We have suggested to Ms Lee to put her community cats up for adoption (PetFinder.my is an option) so that they can be better cared for and will not be subjec...

The 7-year-old male dog is not neutered and not vaccinated. He has bitten people before, and causes a disturbance to the neighbours when he runs out. The owners have been receiving threats from angry neighbours. Is there anyone who is willing and able to rehabilitate this dog and...

Can you spot the cat?
Stuck on a ledge on the eighth storey of Block 357, Tampines Street 33, this white cat was fortunate enough to be spotted by a concerned member of the public. Our Animal Rescue Officer rushed to the scene and got the frightened feline out of danger, bringing it back with him to our shelter. Fortunately, kitty is safe and did not suffer any injuries. We're advertising the cat on Straits Times Classifieds in hopes of its owner coming forward to claim it. If you are the own...
