Travelling Light In Life
7th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare

Long, long ago, I had this bicycle… That’s Bobby with me, way back in the old neighbourhood…many, many, many years ago It was a mountain bike. One day, my son cycled on it to play basketball, left my bike in the court and walked back after that. So that was the end of the bike! Why Neutered Male Animals Should Also Be Ear-Notched
7th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare

A friend called today, telling me what happened when she brought a newly-captured male street cat to the vet for neutering. The vet failed to notice that the male cat had actually been already neutered (and we are told it’s very obvious, ie. the absence of the testicles) so the vet sedated him and went ahead with the surgery only to discover that there were no more testicles in the poor cat’s scrotum. The cat is back home and doing well now. So, that’s good to hear. But here...

STAY AWAY FROM BACKYARD BREEDERS: They are irresponsible breeding of animals and only do it for the money. Dogs and cats are forced to reproduce non-stop in dirty and filthy conditions with bad health until they die. Many still exists in Malaysia, and can even be your next door neighbour. Adoption Spotlight: Jenga. This lovely 8 year old girl looks like she's been through quite a bit. We found her wandering on the streets, and she came to us with a cataract in one eye and prominent teats. She may have been used as a breeding dog, and we think she deserves so much more than that.
