Mr Zurik Is Back Again! 31st Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
This morning, I was actually very worried as Mr Zurik had not come for breakfast at all. That was most unlike him. I was worried that maybe, just maybe, he was having a fever as a result of the vaccination. The vet had assured me that the likelihood of that happening was very slim. In fact, the vet was more worried about Mr Zurik getting caught in the rain and the Advocate spot-on would have been washed away and hence, wasted. Rain? No rain these days. The weather is so, so hot.
But as I was dri...

Updates On 31st Jul 2013 31st Jul 2013, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
Planing for a different September holiday? How about this for a holiday!
Put the life back into wildlife:
Hug was found alone in a small cage outside a mechanic's shop. Thankfully, a kind traveler came across Hug and negotiated his release. Then began his long journey by boat and bus, crossing two provinces to arrive at ACRES Lao PDR. Today, he's found a new family in a group of fellow macaques. And a new home. We would like to keep it that way - with your help.

Adoption Spotlight: Guppi.
This 10-year-old Dachshund is quiet and chill (while his Toy Poodle friend, Bailey, is quite the opposite), but still eager to meet anyone new. He'll come to the front to greet you, and hang around you after for pats and attention. He wants a forever home, somewhere that he can feel safe in and spend the rest of his years with a good family. He deserves so much more and is one of the loveliest boys we've met. Are you ready to take this happy boy in and shower him wi...

“Run Free ‘Lil Ones” Day 31st Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
My son declared that at least once a week, Bunny & Friends should be allowed to “run free”, in order words, to be allowed out of the room.
Normally, it’s on a Tuesday, but since everyone was home today, we decided to make it today as well.
Here are some pictures from today’s “Run Free ‘Lil Ones” campaign…
Only Bunny and Indy were interested (they lined up at the grille)
Pole looked….but we figured she would definitely out-smart and out-ru...

How Heidi Spends Her Afternoons 31st Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
Heidi, as you know, is still adjusting to her new life here. We know you simply cannot tell a cat what to do or what not to do, so we have been giving her time to adjust and find her spots.
We know she goes back to the playground to play and have fun every morning after breakfast.
What does she do after that?
It’s almost 3pm now, and she’s been here since 11am…
Don’t you think she is smart? Nobody can attack her from the back OR front!
It’s a very secure spot.
