Wise lady Mocha @ Ampang:

Yo, stop treating me like a senior citizen! I'm only sligggghtly seasoned! I've tasted more salt than you eating rice in your whole life, as the Chinese saying goes.
I'm in many ways smarter than the young and naive puppies who do your Sit-Treat Tricks (try saying that rapidly 5 times in a row). See? You just did what I asked you to do.
Can you lick your elbow with your tongue? Try it... Neither can I. You did it again, you ...

Adoption Spotlight: Smooch.
This 3-month-old baby girl was an unfortunate victim of the very inhumane glue board trap (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101517704 26193155&set=pb.262947298154.-2207520000.138603122 9.&type=3&theater). Lucky for her, she was spotted by a group of school boys who quickly rushed to her aid and called us. We managed to wash the glue off her body and she gradually recovered. She's still a little shy and takes some time to warm up to strangers. We don't blame ...

Stories From The Patio And Spider-Cat Strikes Again! 3rd Dec 2013, by AnimalCare
Breakfast as usual this morning. And oh, Timmy is in his “private dining quarters”.
Suddenly, there was a loud sound from the back of the house.
Who’s on the alert? Everyone except Ginger. Ginger relies totally on his mama to protect him.
Er….our private diner is also unperturbed by the loud noise.
We’re counting the seconds, folks….9, 8, 7,….
Eating resumes….but where is Heidi?
She had already run into the house (because of the loud noise)....

Heidi’s Day 2nd Dec 2013, by AnimalCare
Ever since Willy took over the basketball court, Heidi has not been allowed to even step into the playground.
So she spends her day in the porch, which is, in fact, much safer for her, especially when she has this tendency of sitting in the middle of the road.
We know she is an old cat, so her reflexes may be a bit slow. It is definitely safer for her to remain in the porch.
So there you ago – everything happens for a reason, and if you trust the Universe enough, the reason is probably goo...

Willy’s Stories 2nd Dec 2013, by AnimalCare
I think Willy lives inside the drain right outside our house.
He is here for meals twice a day.
Sometimes, for breakfast, he is not hungry as he might have eaten at the pavilion. I’ve checked with Mukda and she says Willy does eat at the pavilion every morning.
Whenever I feed Willy, I would have to keep Mr Zurik away.
Usually, Willy waits for me right across the road, outside my gate.
Vincent chases him too, so I have to keep two tabbies away whenever Willy eats.
A Stormtrooper has h...

The Art Of Balancing Timmy 2nd Dec 2013, by AnimalCare
Timmy is like a bag of fluid. Yes, that would be an accurate description of the physical attributes of Timmy.
He flops all over…
Me not comfortable…
He still finishes his food (whether first or second helping) in 15 seconds flat and asks to be let out of the cage!
Has Timmy lost any weight at all, after all the Chitosan and Hara Hachi Bu diet?
I really don’t know!

A Suggestion To Bigtime Animal Rescuers 2nd Dec 2013, by AnimalCare
It’s the end of the year and in the process of auditing our accounts, we notice that some rescuers have claimed a very substantial amount of subsidy payments from our funds over a certain period of time. We hope these rescuers know that AnimalCare isn’t going to last forever (!) and we hope they won’t depend on us fully to support their work for an indefinite period of time.
To those who intend to do longterm rescue work which requires a large amount of funds, instead of depend...
