A Sharing From A Long-Time Cat Rescuer And Feeder

Recently, one of our readers lost a cat to FIP. We know FIP is usually terminal; it’s not easy at all to cope with such cases. We race against time, we try everything possible, and yet, the animal dies. In such times of loss, we would just have to take comfort in our faith and beliefs and in knowing that as long as we have tried our best, that’s all that matters.

Sporotrichosis is a very long journey. In some cases, it takes a few months; in others, it may even take up to almost a year. And yet, in some cases, after recovery, a relapse can happen and this is not uncommon.
It takes patience, perseverance and never giving up on the animal because we are all he/she has.

Rescues & Cruelty Cases

DEC 11 - Animal lover Ms Chong had seen a Rottweiler wandering in Ulu Langat. She was unable to transport the big dog on her own, and called our animal welfare officers for help. Our Animal Inspector helped transport the dog to a private vet for treatment and neutering, undertaken by Ms Chong - she will subsequently find a home for the dog. Thank you Ms Chong!

SPCA Selangor Mission HELP Projects

DEC10 - We set up a new dog trap in Banting factory area, and a volunteer agreed to monitor the trap daily. Finally, we managed to catch this elusive mother dog that has evaded being caught for weeks! She is currently being quarantined as she is showing signs of illness, after she recovers she will be sent to a private vet for neutering under the sponsorship of animal rescuer Ms. N.
