The Most Dangerous Animal In The World 31st Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
Live simply and respect Mother Nature as much as you can.
The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth.
And so do all other living beings.
They have the right to live peacefully on Earth too.
Resolutions to consider:
1. Feed a hungry animal.
2. Adopt a homeless animal.
3. Live and let live – Do not kill.
4. Eat less meat.
5. Use cruelty-free products.
6. In whatever we do, as far as we can, honour and respect Mother Nature.
Let’s not be a “dangerous animal”...

Updates On 30th Oct 2013 30th Oct 2013, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
Quinn has found a tub of water to cool his body in the desert heat, but this little guy has much bigger problems as one of 200+ dogs facing a food shortage at the Moon Valley sanctuary. Following a summer of political violence and a huge economic fall here in Egypt, Janet Johnson is scrambling to find meals for these dogs. Locals began a witch hunt accusing Janet of making the dogs hungry for human bones after she fed them scraps of meat and bone leftover from a hotel kitchen. Janet devoted her ...

Dear Friends,Meet Atilla and Hero. Two pups we rescued 2 months ago from a monsoon drain. They are very docile and timid - and after two months of being in our foster care they are still timid with other people but the fosterers that take care of them temporarily. So we look at them as special. They won't be the type to run to you as they see you but they will take their time to get to know and love you. This is probably the hardest part about doing the work I do for animals - its easy...

On A Hot Sleepy Afternoon 30th Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
It’s been raining so much, the sunshine today is most welcome.
So where is everyone on a hot sunshiny day like today?
Do you see Daffodil and Heidi?
This is Heidi’s permanent spot, at the window sill.
She’s got the green netting as “cushion” so that she won’t accidentally fall down.
Which cat “accidentally” falls down, anyway?
This is Daffodil’s permanent Tropicana Resort nap-spot.
Vincent takes the front portion of the house as he is sti...

This latest update below is really sad. But we hope the surgery will go well and Kung Lung will recover real soon. Kung Lung’s bill has escalated to thousands of RM and we have maxed out on our RM500 subsidy even with the first claim.
One of our readers have offered to help Kung Lung’s caregivers with tips on wound care and she is in contact with Norvem, Mdm Foong and friends. If you are interested in he...

Poor “hungry” (greedy?) Timmy! 30th Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
It was breakfast as usual at the patio this morning.
“As usual” means Timmy eats in the cage while Mr G looks on.
Mr G gets his breakfast from home, then comes over to hang out with everyone.
Timmy finishes his meal in 15 seconds flat.
Daffodil takes 15 minutes.
So, Timmy has to wait in the cage.
If he is let out, no one (except Heidi) stands a chance with him. He snatches from everyone…except Heidi.
Heidi is the only one who whacks him in the face.
So Timmy gets let out on...

Ownerless Dogs And Their “invisible Owners”! 30th Oct 2013, by AnimalCare
Lester Hiew shared this: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=752990 154717942
It’s a novel and creative way to touch people’s hearts!
However, proper vetting of suitability of owner (especially in the area of responsible pet ownership) is still required to ensure the animal goes to a committed owner.
It’s like human partnerships too. First, there is the initial attraction. Then, there is the commitment and that’s for life.
It is the same with bringing home a companion a...

SHE'S ON OUR "WISH LIST" FOR ROMANIA
Many of you know we've been raising money for the dog and cat orphans of Romania. In particular, this week, we've been trying to pull together the down payment for the so-called "Magic Land" - a special property that will become the new home to the animals who take sanctuary in Norica Prigoana's rescue program. There's ample space for all the animals to sleep indoors and stay warm and dry and plenty of fenced land to run and play.
CAN SHE COME TOO? Thi...

BEFORE & AFTER: THE RESCUE OF SHREK
Dr. Brenda Gough and her Southern Cross Equestrian Facility team found this neglected, terrified pup. The veterinary team sprung into action to rescue him from his own coat and skin.
"He is still terrified and nervous," Gough told Metro, "but looking for human contact, and learning all about love."
And as Gough said on Facebook, "We should all hug our pets extra tight today!"
See the complete set of amazing photos here https://www.facebook.com/me...
