A Very Special Auction: The Last Little Pink Tshirt

During the two events in weekend, we were hoping to sell as many tshirts as we could and we did! However, we still have quite a bit of Grey and Green, so if you are interested to get our tshirts, please do go for Blue, Grey and Green (last year’s designs – it must be due to the economic downturn).
But we sold out on ALL our Pink except for one piece – a size 28!
So, we thought it would be fun to auction this little tshirt off as a gift to a petite little girl.

5 ways to have an Animal-Friendly holiday!
• Never take your photo with a wild animal.
• Don’t visit places with circus-style animal shows.
• Avoid all other forms of animal exploitation, such as animal rides, bloodsports (e.g. cock fighting), live animal markets etc.
• Speak up! Tell your tour operator why you won’t visit places that exploit animals.
• Make sure any souvenirs you buy do not contain animal parts.

Our Wildlife Sanctuary was greeted by a group of an amazing bunch of students and teacher from the Singapore American School (Roots and Shoots) this morning :)

Look at how happy this green iguana is!! As ACRES grows, we also respond to more calls and rescue cases. Our staff strive to maintain a high level of competency in the care for the animals under our wing (excuse the pun), but at the same time this would not be possible without you, our supporters and donors.

Cute Foxy Thinks It's A Doggy

This is sweet foxy Dawn, one of the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary's 6 resident foxes that cannot be returned to the wild.
The majority of animals they get in are injured wildlife that are aimed to be returned into the wild. However, Dawn was a young fox that was took into a dog rescue center as the member of public that found her thought she was a dog!

Due to the overcrowded situation at the pound, dogs may at times have to sleep, sitting at one spot since there is hardly any place to move about.
This is a good looking GS mixed currently imprisoned at MPSP DOG POUND.

I am a coward, I admit.
Though I am involved in animal rescues, but never will I dare myself to enter a dog pound. I know that if I ever did, I will be mentally and emotionally shattered.
Today, I made a great breakthrough and overcome my fear. For the last few days, I have heard of so many dogs and puppies captured at the pound. A total of 41 adult dogs & 11 puppies! It was Kelly, Chun Eng, Connie and me manning the booth and we were certainly kept busy (which was good!).
