Return Of The Rescue Van

It has been almost a month, since our rescue vehicle went for some major repairs. In a day (and night), we spend about ten hours on the roads, responding to a variety of cases. Onc e in a while, we have bird rescuers writing in asking tips on handraising birds. It is a very challenging task, but not impossible. The tips in the link above might help. Alternatively, one could call UPM’s Vet Dept and seek advice. They have experts there.

ADOPTED DOG SAVES GIRL FROM SUICIDE
A heroic pet dog proved to be a troubled 13-year-old girl's best friend after helping firemen rescue her during a suicide attempt in Chengdu, Sichuan Province on Saturday.

A few days ago, the ACRES rescue team rescued 2 young civet cats which were trapped in a rat trap by accident. They were released into the wooded area next to the site because their mother would usually stay nearby.
The Common Palm Civets are also known as Toddy Cats. The name came about because this creature was apparently fond of drinking from vessels put in palm trees to collect sap for making toddy or palm sugar. It has a distinct musky odour when harassed. The odour has been likened to fr...

Our Vaccination Subsidies

This is a gentle reminder to all applicants that besides neutering, we also subsidise the first 2 vaccinations for your rescues. However, as responsible caregivers, we expect you to follow strictly to the vaccination schedule, ie. the first and second vaccinations should be given 21-30 days apart. NOT LATER THAN 30 DAYS.
