A Primal Treat…from Aunty Joy (and BARF For Dinner)! 1st May 2014, by AnimalCare
Joy dropped in this morning to visit.
She was on her way to babysit a few cats and had brought along some Primal nuggets.
Vincent was the first to detect the can of delectable treat in her bag and ransacked it.
So Vincent had a treat….
Then, the rest also asked for some.
Tabs and Cow waited to be served, but Indy helped himself to a whole nugget by putting his head into the can!
This was surprising as Indy normally does NOT eat Primal nuggets. He says it isn’t real “raw food&...

Daffodil And Rosie Protect The Porch From…another Visitor 1st May 2014, by AnimalCare
I missed it all.
Which is good…
It happened late last night after I had gone to bed.
My husband had opened the front door to put Heidi out (she’s back to trying to scale the green netting to go to the roof, so we have to put her outside at night now, for her own safety so that she will be grounded and not on the roof).
Then, he saw it….
Daffodil and Rosie were surrounding a snake in the porch.
It appeared to be the same species as the previous ones (the “wolf snake”...

Updates On 1st May 2014 1st May 2014, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
If your going vegan and buying cruelty free product plans doesn't seem to always stick, here is one thing we highly recommend being pretty confident that you can keep!
There are roads everywhere in Singapore and while we travel on wheels for transport, the wildlife, the strays and lost animals do not have the luxury of such machines!!!
However they do still need to cross the road from time to time. Let us be more mindful and share this awareness.
BATS! - Brakes, Alert, Tolerance, Slow down =...

Isn't she a looker! Monochrome body, with a black ear and another in white. She's very friendly, looks like she will just be your best friend to follow you around the house; watching TV, eating snacks, taking selfies...
She's very photogenic, regardless of colour photo or B&W, because she's just so lovable. Train her well, and she can be the best pet for the family.

A Dead Man's Wish 1st May 2014, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
One of our regular donors who lives in the UK frantically contacted us on the 27th of February 2014 after receiving a suicide note from her friend - a 58-year-old German man living in Malaysia. A copy of the suicide note was forwarded to us, and the late German man had pleaded for his dogs and cats to be rescued. While we were on our way, the police (who arrived at the scene first) confirmed the man's death, and notified us that the local council was there with private canine bounty hunting compa...

Willy Visits! 30th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Willy hasn’t been coming regularly for food, but he has been spotted at the playground and he is looking good too!
I’m very sure he has a home now and occasionally pops by for a visit to say “hello”.
Such was what happened two evenings ago when Willy appeared at the culvert….
We were about to go out when the familiar orange cat came out from under my car.
Hi Willy!!
I quickly went back into the house and brought out some food…
Hmm…he hasn’t forgot...

Photos Updates: Doodle & Noodle! 30th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Remember Doodle & Noodle? They were two (neutered) male dogs found wandering on the busy road in Bandar Kinrara by Connie. Connie took them in, posted “Lost & Found” posters at tree trunks, pet stores, vet clinics, even enquired at Puchong clinics if there were any records of them, but no owner turned up.
We advertised for adoption and a few people enquired but somehow nothing materialised until this kind family finally offered to adopt them.
Here are some photos from their f...

Welcoming New Caregiver-Applicants (for Neutering Subsidies)! 30th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
It never fails to amaze me that each time we make significant changes in our policies (which are usually a result of a “setback” or bad experience with dishonest, demanding or quarrelsome applicants), something good always comes out of it.
When we decided to close our Medical Treatment Fund on 3rd January this year, it was due to many reasons – partly due to duplicate and multiple-claiming by some applicants and also unreasonable demands by a few applicants. We realise this dec...
