Chimpanzee Charlie free after nine year struggle
The last known chimpanzee in Lebanon was confiscated from a zoo on Saturday and placed in Animals Lebanon’s care after courts ruled he was smuggled to Lebanon.
Charlie, a nine year old chimpanzee, was smuggled to Lebanon in 2005 and sold from a pet shop before ending up in Animal City zoo. The Ministry of Agriculture declared in 2006 that Charlie was smuggled into Lebanon and that no permits have been issued for his importation. An attempted ...

2nd Week of April Rescue Updates! In this week, we feature a Naked Bulldog Bat who flew into someone's home, a White-vented Myna stuck in a glue trap, a Reticulated Python in the canal, an Asian Toad and a Colugo found stranded in our caller's house..
We have both sad and happy rescue stories this week nevertheless, we want to thank our concerned callers who called, the government authorities that we worked together with and our pro bono vets who treats our animals!

Tiger runs the moment he senses I want to apply anything on his sores or take photos of his sores, so it hasn’t been easy applying the Path-Away (I need two people and even one person finds it hard to hold him down. Tiger is mighty STRONG). I now dab the liquid in a cotton pad and apply it onto his sores, or the entire area where the sores are/used to be. I have to do it really quickly as Tiger is struggling.
