Tiger Day 41 (visit To The Vet’s) 16th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
I’ve been very anxious thinking about this day – where I take Tiger to the vet’s for a check-up and hear the verdict – is he healing or not?
So, Connie came to take us today.
But something very funny happened before we embarked on our journey to the vet’s.
My husband carried Tiger and put him into the carrier which we’ve cleaned. I carried the carrier out of the house and heard Tiger growling when I placed it down. Why would Tiger growl? I just ignored it. May...

Philip Wollen: Animals Should Be OFF The Menu (Debate) 16th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
How do you see the world?
“I see the world feelingly.”
Shared by a friend, listen to Philip Wollen, please: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQCe4qEexj c
It’s only 10 minutes 14 seconds, but he makes his point very convincingly. Please hear him out until the end. It might change you, your life and if it does, it will change the lives of billions of animals in the “Guantanamo camps” which we call “factory farms” (aka slaughterhouses).
Three bows to you, Mr...

OLD STRAY DOG WINS 'THE LOTTERY'
Written by Nady Tzortzidou of Athens, Greece
A couple of years ago, some colleagues informed me of a little stray griffon-like dog, wandering outside the company where I worked. She seemed very sick and didn’t respond to anything.
She must have been in the streets for so long as her fur was hanging from her skin in balls. She was extremely dirty and smelly, yet had the sweetest and most gentle eyes I have ever seen. The only move she made was to wag her tai...

This is a test of your eyesight….
Which one is Ginger?
Nope, I’m the lion…R-O-A-R!!!
That other guy over there is Ginger…
Yups, this is Ginger…
Ha ha…!!
A bit of digression, see how time flies…
The framed photo on top of the piano up there in the first picture was probably taken 23 years ago…
Here are my two children now…
Cleo loves bread!
Bunny and his favourite person!
One of my favourite poems come to mind:
He who binds to himself a j...

Tiger Day 40 15th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Oh hooray, Tiger’s asleep…maybe I can sneak up and take some photos of his sores…
Shh….*tiptoe-ing*
Right hip
Left leg!
Oh boy…I hadn’t been able to even look at these sores for more than 2 seconds in the past week! Just enough time for someone to hold Tiger down and let me quickly rub some Path-Away onto the sores. They are drying up very well, aren’t they? Imagine…this was previously the dreaded Gang of Eight! Now, they are a few pitiful shriv...

The Day Timmy Went Back To His Old Home… 15th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
No worries, Timmy is still here with us!
I caught him visiting his “old home” a few days ago and it was quite cute.
I think Timmy was actually trailing a bird…
So, we trailed him…
Shh…
Why are you following me?
Can’t a cat have some privacy to do his own thing?
That’s Timmy old house – the blue dustbin!
When Timmy was first dumped on the road right in front of my gate, he sought shelter in this blue dustbin. Poor Timmy, right? But wipe your tear...

GOLDIE RESCUED FROM BOTTOM OF SEASIDE CLIFF 15th Apr 2014, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
GOLDIE RESCUED FROM BOTTOM OF SEASIDE CLIFF
A pony named Goldie tumbled down a 65 foot sea cliff and became trapped in an isolated cove.
It took 16 rescuers and a three-day operation to bring Goldie to safety. The RSPCA team first aimed to rescue her by helicopter and use a winch to lift her, but were unable to secure the equipment on time. They also considered a boat rescue but wind and waves were simply too strong. So they lowered water and hay down to Goldie while they cooked up another pla...
