You deserve a good rest today, after 364 days of upholding the toughest job in the world. Hopefully your naughty kids will behave themselves for this day!

Rosie Eats Her Breakfast (“I Protest In The Strongest Terms At Being Caged”)

Last night, Rosie was whining most pitifully in the cage. I was a little worried that she was holding her urination as the vet had said her bladder was full when we were there (which was at 7pm) and it was approaching midnight. Holding the urination for so long isn’t good, I thought. There was no urine in the litter box (lined with newspapers) but Rosie had scratched at the newspapers and thrown them out and also messed up her box with the towel.

SEE WHAT THIS OFFICER FOUND ON THE HIGHWAY?
Yes, that's a Chihuahua hunkered down on the concrete median. The California Highway Patrol saved this dog on the I-680 freeway in Walnut Creek on Friday during rush hour. Often a lost dog will take off running under these circumstances, but thankfully this one decided to stay put.
The little one was taken to Contra Costa Animal Control in Martinez, California where a microchip scan will kick off efforts to locate the dog's family.

Today is going to be an exceptionally happy Mother’s Day for me because at long last, my daughter, Ming-Yi has got a transfer back to Peninsular Malaysia, after having served in Kunak, Sabah (after having encountered the Sulu incursion and two attempted break-ins into her rented house). 11.10pm: Rosie Eats!

So Rosie was making a racket in the cage for quite sometime and I just had to let her be.
It wasn’t Ginger or Daffodil accompanying her, but Timmy.
But we did wonder whether Timmy is accompanying Rosie or just staking a claim on his cage…
By about 11pm, I went to check on Rosie and found that she had almost toppled her litter box, her water bowl was full of litter (oh my gosh!) and her cage needed to be reorganised.

Rosie Has A Fever

Rosie did not come for dinner today, and I thought she was holed up somewhere due to the rain. I went to look and found her inside the big box in the porch. I thought she was afraid of the rain, so I brought a bowl of food to her but she wasn’t interested.
After the rain, I brought food to her again, and still, she did not want to eat. I tried Monge, kibbles and Natural Balance. She had no appetite.

Willy’s Visits!

Willy has been visiting often these days. He does drop in for breakfast and dinner on certain days, especially on weekends.
He normally comes in from the garbage compartment and he makes sure I see him when I’m at the patio.
But first, the PatioCats must be fed.
