With Mother’s Day around the corner, we will be putting up blankets for Mother’s Day from today onwards.
So, how about giving a meaningful gift for your mom or grandmom to honour them on Mother’s Day? Instead of buying flowers, won’t you consider buying our homesewn patchwork blankets, which is reminiscent of what moms and grandmoms do in yesteryears – making patchwork from scraps of cloth so as not to waste? Yes, patchwork is all about recycling and not wasting reu...

Conference At The Border…peace In Sight? 20th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Yes, there was a conference at the border and I was hoping for a breakthrough in the peace talks.
This happened yesterday…
Indy to Bunny: So, should we make peace with them?
Bunny replies: Hmm…I’m not sure, what do you think, Cow? Why don’t you two decide, I want to take a nap.
Meanwhile, outside, Timmy represents the PatioCats to negotiate for peace.
Well, we are a peaceful lots. You see, we mean no harm.
And what do you think happened today?
I was SO surprised…...

Tiger Day 45 20th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
I think we should soon be able to start our 30-day countdown soon, I hope!
Left front paw. You can hardly see it today as it’s crusted. I hope it doesn’t flare up anymore!
I think Path-Away stops Tiger from licking, so the sores don’t flare up anymore. Otherwise, it’s very hard to tell the difference whether it’s red because of licking or the sporo rearing its ugly head. So, Path-Away helps in this way.
Looking forward to each day closer to our countdown!
Tige...

The Body Shop for sponsoring vouchers and gifts for the goodie bags.

Spreading The Word Of Kindness 20th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
On weekends, I give talks at various places, and whenever I get the chance, I do talk about kindness to animals.
This morning, I was at the Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society.
Little did I know that amongst the audience was a little 7-year old girl, Chan Siew May, who had sat in the corner, clutching one of my books, See you at Rainbow Bridge.
After the talk, an adult brought her up to meet me and to get my autograph on her book.
I was so thrilled to meet this little girl. Her doggy-eared Rainbow bo...

I'M NOT THE EASTER BUNNY
I may not be a legendary bunny, but I do know what it is to be treated like royalty. Though I can't deliver chocolates or colored eggs, I was welcomed into a home. Every morning, I enjoy a huge salad and throughout the day I hop about and get lots of attention from my family. My cat and dog friends let me sleep beside them in their beds. And my 'mom' lets me taste the pumpkin pie filling!
This is my fenced, outdoor play area where I enjoy supervised time each day, and...

The Green Room Cafe will be running a campaign entitled "Let's have a compassionate Vesak Day!" from the 14th of April to the 16th of May 2014. A Note About Pos Ekspres And Persistent Late Applications 19th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Lately, a lot of applications have arrived late even though they were sent by Pos Ekspres (which is what we recommend our applicants to do because it’s much cheaper than Poslaju and it used to guarantee a next-day delivery).
So I went to enquire at the post office and was told that there is no more guaranteed next-day delivery for Pos Ekspres now.
The Pos Ekspres envelopes used to look like these:
