Tnrm (trap, Neuter, Release & Management) - Stray In Sri Dsara 28th Apr 2014, by Independent Pet Rescuers (IPR)
Remember the stray mother dog that we were planning to rescue? We finally manage to catch her so she can be brought for spaying and return to where she belongs without the suffering of having to lose another baby to the town council dog catchers (she has already given birth 5 times which was all later caught by the dog catchers as ppl have reported against them). after numerous attemps to gain her trust and also to lure her into the house and using the auto gate to close her in, unfortunately fa...

A Puppy, A Rescue, A Surgery And A Home (a Sharing) 28th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
AnimalCare no longer provides medical treatment subsidy, so this is merely a sharing of what a few friends can do to help a rescuer with an injured dog he had picked up.
Two days ago, someone by the name of Jin wrote to me:
Hi Dr. Chan,
I witnessed a stray dog being hit by a car yesterday, I took the dog to a nearby veterinary for immediate medical treatment. The veterinarian informed that the dog might need to undergo a surgery soon to its injured leg which the surgery cost is around RM600-800...

Heidi’s (mis)adventure And Rescue From The Roof 28th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
This morning, at about 6am, Heidi scuttled out from our bedroom to the roof. She must have jumped onto the low cabinet and scaled the green netting to get out through the window and landed up on the roof.
BUT…unlike Vincent who is a pro at getting in and out through the green netting, Heidi does not know how to get IN from the roof.
Oh dear….
So she was pacing up and down the windows, trying to figure out a way to get back in.
She is also far too small and not agile enough to jump fr...

Ginger’s Peace Offering And His Tour Of Bunny’s Place! 28th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Last night, Ginger dragged his Carebears Blankie to the grille again, offering it as a gesture of friendship to Bunny & Friends. Ginger is already friends with Tiger and Tabs, of course. It’s the rest that he wants to be friends with.
I will give them my blankie if they let me in….
For the past few days, Ginger has been trying very hard to sneak into the room whenever I opened the grille. I was careful not to let that happen or….2 weeks with antibiotics! I cannot risk tha...

An important part of being a good dog owner is being able to read how our dog responds to us or to a certain situation. How do we read our dog's body language?
Here's the eighth installment of our dog stress alert tips, crafted by Kang Nee (a certified professional dog trainer who works with ...

Rescuer Survives Gunshot: 200+ Dogs Counting On Our Donations 28th Apr 2014, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
Still recovering from a gunshot blast to the chest, Warin Taphaothong would rather die than disappoint the dogs. On the heals of yet another surgery to address deep infection, Warin is back “at work”. Today she wears a gentle smile and a light polka dot apron as she climbs onto her motorbike with a dozen magnificently large pots of food for the strays. The wheels on the bike’s cart squeak and whistle under the weight of so much hot rice and chicken. Her sister Lem tries to stop the pots fr...

The SS19 Carnival 27th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
We set up our booth at 8am this morning while the residents participated in their walkathon.
This is our first time selling Bacoff products and Path-Away at an event.
A boy was walking around the place with this little black kitten asking if anyone would want to adopt her. He says he found her at the back of his house. I asked a cat-rescuer whom I knew but she could not take the kitten in. The kitten looked very strong and active and was mewing to get out of the paper bag. Her eyes were open ...

Shine shining in Kuala Lumpur
http://www.petfinder.my/pets/48764
You've seen the famous internet cat Maru-chan haven't you? Don't you always want a cat so adorable and smart like Maru-chan? Shine is Maru-chan's Malaysia cousin! Look at their similar build, the expression on their face!
We wager if you throw a box at Shine and she will dive into the box too! If she doesn't, you can always train her by watching more Maru-chan's video anyways.
Shine might be as famous as Maru-chan one day!
