GENTLE CEMETERY DOG FINALLY SAFE Volunteer Rescuer Ed Kostro Reports: This starving canine orphan was homeless, living on the grounds of a huge cemetery. I joined two fellow pet rescuers out there way back in the sub-zero days of January. But the staff at this cemetery, were heartless. They eventually kicked us off of their property. After we left, so did this homeless street orphan. She ended up on icy Lake Michigan, at its mercy. Chicago’s Fire Department managed to get her off the ice. T...

INJURED EAGLE NOW SAFE, "It's Going to Be OK Sweetheart" The Harmony Fund recently donated a specialized bow net to the Animal Rescue League of Boston. This gift was not only a way to rescue wildlife in precarious circumstances, but also as a gesture of gratitude for the League's brave and devoted assistance in the rescue of a deer on an icy lake last year. The bow net turned out to be the perfect tool for the rescue of an injured juvenile bald eagle a few days ago. With the assistance of a lo...

It Was Eight Years Ago….yesterday!
8th May 2014, by AnimalCare

I forgot! How time flies! It was exactly eight years ago yesterday (7th May 2006, Mother’s Day) that I rescued Cow, Bunny and Pole as mere day-old newborns from the roadside. Prior to that, I was only a dog-owner who had never touched a cat all my life. The rest, as they say, is history. The first photo ever taken! Cow Bunny (his original name was “Yeti”) Pole (original name, Polar) Ming-Yi and I took turns to nurse them, round the clock. Bobby helped too! Where is the...

A Forever-Home For Abandoned And Unwanted Cats In Your Own Backyard!
8th May 2014, by AnimalCare

Many animal-lovers take in abandoned and homeless animals and provide a forever home for them in their own backyard. But for many of us, we are limited by space and resources. For example, I am already looking after 15 (plus Willy, occasionally) and this is all I can manage. But for those who have the financial means and the passion, you can do more. The kind adopter who has been taking in many abandoned and homeless cats has set up this beautiful “cat paradise” on her piece of land....

Today was the rescue and rehoming… It was a long car journey…but we soon reached their forever-home. We are here, kitties! The other cats greet them and welcome them warmly. More photos to follow in the next post…

Can you spot a similar expression in them which you experienced today. What is cruelty. Redundant animal testing. Stone age animal sacrifices.. the list goes on. Where does intolerance for surviving each day as it comes; not understanding why every single thing you did just to breath was deemed death penalty. Are we not all one and the same?

CO2 Stunning Of Pigs, Called "More Humane," Horrifies In New Footage

Cruelty Free Thursdays. Judge it for yourself :) "As much as I, in charge of posting stories today try to make it a positive note to share in a bearable way that tugs at your heart strings. I realize that sometimes, I need to see in order to know, to share. I sat myself down and watched, not feeling horrible about what I cannot do, but what I have been doing and will continue to do and share with what I know - that is positive too isn't it."
