Dog abandoned at SPCA gate just yesterday (28 May) has been…..
…. claimed by its owner!
As it’s turned out, the dog was actually abandoned by a close member of the owner’s family, WITHOUT THE OWNER'S AWARENESS. The owner verified the identity of the family member, having viewed our surveillance footage.

These puppies were rescued from a river on Monday! A man was out walking his dogs when he saw the pups struggling to escape a swelling stream. He pulled out the 4 drenched, hungry pups who clung to his legs and followed him home! The kind man is currently fostering them until they can be rehomed, please contact Phillip or Lorna if you would like to adopt them!

May 2014 - Our driver Samy responded to a call for help to catch this injured stray dog. The rescuer wanted to have her treated, but had no luck catching the elusive dog. Samy managed to catch her, and transported her to a private vet, where the rescuer wanted to sponsor her treatment and neutering. Another dog off the streets, hooray!

We are pleased to share here that Project ADORE, first mooted by SPCA and ASD in 2011, and then piloted by the MND, AVA and HDB in 2012, has formally transited from a pilot scheme to a permanent programme!

SPCA SEBERANG PERAI is currently sheltering more than 600 dogs & cats. Mdm. Tan, the shelter manager is an elderly lady who sacrificed her most of her retirement life in helping animals.
