Last week, students from NUS Environmental Studies Programme dropped by at ACRES to learn more about the work that we do. Although they were here for a talk, the enthusiastic students volunteered their time to help out at the ACRES outdoor sanctuary. Some of them helped out to cement bricks whilst the rest helped to prepare food and dietary enrichment items for our animals. We hope that they have learnt more about our rescued animals, their diet and the illegal wildlife trade.

The Search For Timmy Goes On…

Today, I distributed a Missing Timmy flyer to the house down the road (where there was the recent wake). I was lucky that the house-owner happened to be driving in and she and her daughter were very friendly and helpful. Apparently they are cat-lovers too and feed many community cats in their garden.
But they hadn’t seen Timmy before.
Then, I went to four vet clinics to ask if anyone had brought in Timmy and also to put up the poster. None of the vets or their assistants had seen Timmy.

SPCA SEBERANG PERAI was formed in September 2005. It is a charitable non-profit organization. We practice non-kill policy and ensure that animals are safe whilst waiting to find a new home. Our kennels are always full with a long list of animals waiting to come in.

Coincidentally with Timmy’s mysterious disappearance that day was a wake in one of the houses in our neighbourhood.
Here’s a plausible theory:
Timmy mysteriously appeared in November 2012 (http://myanimalcare.org/2012/11/23/feline-wars-an d-other-tales/) and he seemed lost. I found him crying in the middle of the road right in front of my house and for the next few weeks, he was wandering at the playground, trying to look for food from the blue dustbins.
