OLD HORSE STRUGGLING IN CREEK IS SO HAPPY TO SEE RESCUE TEAM!
A 23-year-old horse named Weston was plucked from a raging creek in Manor, Texas thanks to a team of firefighters and emergency workers. Despite obvious fear, Weston reportedly did his best to cooperate with rescuers which contributed greatly to the success of the 2 hour mission.
Weston had traveled about 100 yards downstream before they could reach him and his chances of extracting himself from the water were next to none.

Another Stripey Blue With My Able Assistants 14th Jun 2014, by AnimalCare
PF and her cats loved the Stripey Blue blanket which served as a cover for their sofa set, so she asked if we could do another smaller piece for her ottoman. It so happened I still have the same type of cloth, so we set to work today – yes, the cats and me.
Daffodil was my trusty assistant and companion for today.
Ginger was at his rooftop den all afternoon.
Rosie came to help too.
Now to cut the backing cloth.
Tabs!!
Merrily we roll along,
Roll along, roll along…
Sewing ...

A US Army Reserve veteran, Aaron told his local FOX news affiliate WDAF that his combat expe...

HOT & HUNGRY IN THE DESERT HEAT
It's not easy to cool down in the sands of Dahab, Egypt. But hundreds of dogs at Janet Johnson's rescue center there are trying to do just that by napping in buckets of water or in little caves they've dug out under the rocks.
We've just sent over funds to buy more dog food as Janet's bank account has hit empty again. Every time we're able to extend a hand of hope, we take a moment to say thanks to all of you who make it possible for us to turn ordinary Fridays...

NATURAL LITTER IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO
Risks of cancer and significant environmental destruction come along with old-school cat litter. Many cat guardians have turned to pine, wheat or recycled fiber and with good reason.
"Traditional cat litter is bad news on a few levels," KYForward Columnist Beth Oleson explains. "It’s strip and pit-mined clay, so its production is extremely destructive. It’s not biodegradable, and millions of pounds of it are bagged up in plastic and tossed into the tras...

The Knights In….arrow Formation? 13th Jun 2014, by AnimalCare
I couldn’t get my outside knights to eat in a circle, so this is the best I could do…
Of course Timmy could not join the arrow formation as he has to eat in the cage.
Mr Zurik has been behaving lately, so he gets to eat with everyone else, but on the floor.
Timmy is always the first to finish.
Going for left-overs.
Timmy, Timmy, the bowls are already very clean.
Ginger always sits here after eating for a self-grooming session.
Meanwhile, inside, Tiger and Cow are best of ...
