Spaying Subsidy For Mimi & Skitty, Female Cats (Lyzz Sew Shew Lai’s)

We have subsidised RM200 for the spaying of Mimi & Skitty.
Mimi’s 1st and 2nd vaccinations were also subsidised by us: http://myanimalcare.org/2014/06/23/vaccinatio n-sponsorship-for-may-the-dog-and-mimi-the-cat-lyz z-sew-shew-lais/. With this spaying, it completes our package of basic medical care for a rescued animal (neutering + vaccination and booster, if needed). It is noted that adult cats in a relatively hygienic environment do quite well with just one vaccination.

This incident has gone viral, but we need an eyewitness statement. If any of you know this man, or were there when the incident happened please contact our inspectors at inspectorate@spca.org.my. The DVS will not be able to investigate further if there are no witnesses, as this man can easily claim he was joking, or deny that it happened. Jon Tham, who recently suffered from a cracked shinbone due to an accident, is now back on his feet after being on crutches for 2 months. Feeding And Looking After The Homeless (I Mean The Street Animals)

The recent ban on soup kitchens and feeding homeless humans is drawing flak from Malaysians from all walks of life. It’s good to know that the majority of Malaysians are still very compassionate and have no qualms about standing up and speaking up for the plight of these less fortunate humans.
But I was quite disturbed by a comment I saw yesterday, in the numerous posts on this issue. It said: Homeless humans are not animals.

It's JULY 4th, and we would like to give a shout-out to all our American volunteers, supporters and friends, for a meaningful and joyous 4th of July!
It's Independence Day in the U.S. (and we certainly don't mean the setting free or abandonment of companion animals), so even as our American pals celebrate with fireworks this very day, it certainly doesn't hurt to give KittyKat and/or Fido a warm, cuddly hug/kiss or two! Keep up the animal love!

As each day passes, the hope of seeing Timmy again diminishes gradually, yet I am still hoping I will hear that familiar crash of the grilles, and Timmy would appear.

To all our American followers who will be celebrating Independence Day this week, please remember to make provisions for your pets. So many dogs and cats are lost each year because they panic from the sound of fireworks. Keep them indoors or securely leashed when you walk them. And please don't bring your pet to public fireworks displays.
