Mastitis Cat – Rescued, Treated And Rehomed

A few weeks back, we rescued a female cat from the street and brought her in for spaying. However, the vet checked and found that she had mastitis.
So, we got her treated first. She was given antibiotics and daily wound cleaning was done.
After a week, healing was in progress, but an abscess ruptured, so treatment continued.
After two weeks, she finally recovered.

10 Pencil Bags (by Donation)

Mr Chong ordered 10 of our pencil bags to support our work. We would like to thank Mr Chong for his kind donation in memory of his mother, Mdm Tay Lee Lee.

Legislation for animal welfare has been strengthened in Singapore, with the passing of the Animals and Birds (Amendment) Bill in Parliament earlier this week. Two significant amendments announced are harsher penalties for those convicted of cruelty to animals, and a duty of care to be imposed for all those in charge of an animal.

SSPCA DBKU and Damai Beach Resort will be doing registration for a Neutering Campaign in conjunction with the Santubong Nature Festival tomorrow from 9am to 3pm. This is for residents in the Santubong area. Venue for the registration is at the Permai Rainforest Resort, who is hosting this event. So if you have proof of residence in the Santubong area, do come and register for subsidised neutering, with your IC as well. it is NOT necessary to bring your pets to the registration.
