It Has Arrived! 26th Aug 2014, by AnimalCare
After the nightmarish experience with the courier service over the Rainbow Horses, I held my breath (figuratively) as I posted the “Remembering Pei Pei” bag to Ms Cindy Lim yesterday. I had asked Cindy if she would prefer to collect the bag herself as this is a very special bag for her and if it gets lost, it’s not going to be easy to make another one. But Cindy had more trust in the courier service than I did!
And so, after 24 hours of figuratively holding my breath and track...

Tom, re-named Mars, happily ever after!
Silky Terrier, Tom, was terribly skinny and almost a sorry sight more than 2 years ago, when he was up for adoption at our shelter. That didn’t deter Jesmine Chung’s family from adopting him, giving him renewed hopes, and then transforming his life altogether.
Now Tom, or Mars rather, can truly live up to his breed’s name, what with his fur having grown silky and radiant – indeed, the way it should be! Mars’ Happy Tale, & happy new beginning, ...

PUPPY FOUND IN THE FOREST
"Look what I found in the forest today," said Marianne Willemse at Love Animal House in Thailand.
Marianne was out cutting grass to feed the cows at her sanctuary when she came across the puppy who was all alone. He wagged his tail and welcomed her warm hands on his little body as she promised to take him home with her.
"He looks like a bull terrier/pitbull mix about 2/3 months old, so adorable. He has lots of ticks, ear mite & tapeworms but I got him all cleane...

Bunny’s Day Out Vs. Tiger’s Day Out 25th Aug 2014, by AnimalCare
This is Bunny’s day out:
Yay!! I’m out!!
Get ready for me, world….Here I come!!
Merrily we roll along, roll along…
Ahh…nothing beats a good body rub on the rough tiles!
What are these boxes doing here? Who’s been in them? And why?
And who has been on the grass?
What?? Someone pee-ed here?
Who was it, and why wasn’t I consulted?
Time for another good rub….!!!
And another…
And it would have gone on further had I not taken him in.

Not every rescue story have a happy ending. This is the heart-breaking story that led to the death of 2 lives - mother and her unborn child.
Wildlife road kills happen everyday, but may this story remind you that macaques - who are highly misunderstood - are sentient beings.
