3 puppies rescued from the street, one of them even fell into a 5 feet deep drain, but was lucky enough to be spotted and saved by a kind gentleman. These puppies will be vaccinated in the next two days and they are fostering by Siew Ling at the moment.

This week, ACRES was graced by an enthusiastic bunch of individuals from the Singapore Boys Home. Not only did they get to learn about our work, they also spent a few hours helping us paint our new night-dens for the sanctuary. The boys also put their creative thinking skills to use by helping us figure out solutions to some issues we were still facing with our night-dens. Our many thanks to them and their teacher, Mr Patrick and we hope they will come back to volunteer with us again.

Will anyone care to adopt Remo and let him live a full life? Remo was born on 23rd August 2005 and that makes him exactly 9 years 3 months. He is still very healthy and handsome looking. Active and lively as he is, he chases everyone around that he meets and likes to mark his territory everywhere. The best home for him would be a compound house instead of a confined space. Macaques live in a close knit family group. Grooming activity is vital for the macaques as they foster and strengthen family ties. This is a common sight when you visit nature reserves. Take time to capture moments like this but do remember to keep a respectable distance!
