HERO SAVED COYOTE TRAPPED IN RISING TIDE
In Florida, a coyote found himself in danger when he became trapped under a private boat dock. After being chased out of one back yard, he was terrified and tried to hide under the dock. Unfortunately, the rising tide threatened to drown him and he simply couldn't get himself back out.
The water was dipping up against his nose by the time David Hitzig of the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary arrived on scene. David first used a tranquilizer dart to sedate the c...

Animal Lovers Want Stricter Rules For Pet Cafes 27th Dec 2014, by SPCA Singapore
Where setting up pet cafes is concerned, SPCA's stand is that animal welfare has to take precedence, at all times, over all else in the cafe concerned, including the business operations and profit.
In any of such cafes concerned, the animals' welfare cannot be compromised, at any time.
Thanks to the Straits Times for seeking SPCA's stand on the issue of pet cafes, in today's published article, in "Home", page B2 (27 Dec 2014 edition).

Baby Dog, a Jack Russell terrier had to be cut free by Boise, Idaho firefighters after getting his head stuck in a steel pipe while out on a walk. He was out with his guardian Melissa Tabor, who was on horseback, when he worked his way into the pipe. Terriers do have a natural tendency to plunge themselves into tight spots while on a scent trail, and little Baby Dog had the unfortunate luck of getting into an unusually tight squeeze. Thanks to Boise firefighters and the good people of the West ...

Animals are imperfect, just like us.

Southern Masked Weavers put in their 'heart' work when building their homes high up in the trees. Some weave more beautiful nests than others. Some end up having to rebuild theirs as the less secure nests would fall to the grou...
