Most pet cats will become timid or defensive when outdoors, but not Millie – after being adopted by her mountain-climbing owner Craig Armstrong, Millie has become a feline hiking and mountain-climbing legend.

Ah Girl was earlier rescued from the streets and underwent a series of chemo treatment for her TVT. After completing her treatment, she was spayed and is now a healthy furry darling

Today the mayor made an unscheduled visit to Sasha Pesic's dog sanctuary in Nis, Serbia. Just days before the planned Christmas eviction of 450 dogs from their cage-free oasis, it seems that the administration is beginning to have a change of heart.

This Brown Male Dog, Believed To Be Lost Was Rescu..

This brown male dog, believed to be lost was rescued out from the drain by residents nearby yesterday.
Today, Brownie was seen sitting out for hours in the rain, like waiting for his owner. He sat at the sidewalk of Jalan Gurdwara/ Jalan Noordin junction. A feeder bought him chicken rice but he refuse to eat.
Brownie is friendly with people and wore an old 2010 license tag.

Our efforts to protect the dogs at Sasha's free roaming dog sanctuary in Serbia are stronger than ever, but so is the opposition. We will continue to do everything we can to apply pressure to authorities to keep this sanctuary alive. Thank you all for the HUGE outpouring of support.

Over the last few months, students from NPS International School have been taking time off to volunteer at ACRES. They have been an enthusiastic bunch, lending a helping hand in a variety of projects. They have helped us clean our sanctuary premises and plant/transplant plants and even lay bricks.Over the last few weeks, they also helped us to prepare our new night dens for use by varnishing them. QUEENIE, 5-year-wise Persian, heads home with Jason & family!
That makes another cat adopted, adding on to a series of successful adoptions over the past 3 days.
We salute the kind adopters who have opened their hearts and homes, the past weekend (13 - 15 Dec), to:-
- 6 Cross-Breed puppies;
- 1 Cross-Breed dog;
- 1 Jack Russell, 1 Chihuahua & 1 Papillon;

SPCA Selangor Mission HELP Projects

We helped transport 11 dogs from the Second Chance Shelter (Hulu Langat) to our clinic for neutering last week. The 6 females and 5 males were transported by Samy in our Big Red Dog van and neutered by our vets, and then sent back. We will do the next batch of 10 dogs on site at their shelter :)

There was a stray dog roaming opposite an international school in Ampang that needed to be trapped and neutered. We set up our dog trap, and it was monitored by Ms Jen (a teacher at the school). We were all happy when the dog was finally trapped safely, and the dog was taken to the LASS shelter for neutering by Vignes from LASS . Thanks to the students and teachers who came to help also! One more dog off the streets! :)
