SPCA SELANGOR FLOOD AID FOR ANIMALS IN DISTRESS
We are working with local rescuers and the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) to establish 3 satellite aid centres in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang to help animals displaced by floods. These centres will support efforts in rescuing, sheltering, treating and rehoming animals over the next 3 months. We are trying to get personnel, volunteers, supplies and equipment to the affected areas in the next few days.

SPCA Animal Welfare Officer Kelvin is on the road with Razeef to deliver aid to animals in Kelantan, they headed towards Temerloh but can only get as far as Kampung Paya Luas, Temerloh. No rain today. Temerloh is one of the worst flooded areas. Private boat owners all using their boats to help transport people and food. We managed to in the Kampung with the help of a jeep owner. Can't go any further as most roads are closed.

This is our latest case.
A shih tzu was found abandoned by the roadside at Bagan Lallang, today. Upon discovering her, our volunteer thought she was already dead. She was practically lying there, motionless and not responding to any callings.
Our volunteer picked her up and immediately sent her to Gill Veterinary Clinic. She weighted only a miserable 3.6kgs with 60% of her fat lost. She also has severe skin problem and her nails are pitifully too long due to long term caging. As a result, she...
